La Florinata — Restaurant in Maó

La Florinata is a must visit not only if you’re in the area of Mahón port, but is worth journeying for. There’s an abundance of choice on the menu. Across our visits we opted for a mixture of seafood, pasta, and pizza- all was delicious and prepared beautifully. The atmosphere, superbly balanced between relaxed and attentive- and was no fluke as we were looked after impeccably by all the team on both our visits. The owner Marco is an incredibly warm and hard-working chap, and will make you feel at home from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave (and likely leave you in high spirits after a healthy dose of limoncello).

You must try this restaurant when in menorca! The service and attention to detail were amazing. The owner was so unbelievably friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable when speaking us through all the different fresh pastas and sauces. The food itself was fresh and delicious with combinations like coffee pasta with mushroom and truffle sauce which id never heard of but it was so tasty. Este lugar es un restaurante que recomendaría a un amigo o familiar si quiere disfrutar de buena comida y un servicio espectacular. Fuimos dos a cenar y desde el primer momento, el trato que tuvimos fue excelente por parte de todo el quipo, en especial de Marco. Pacientemente, nos explicó los tipos de pasta casera que tienen, sus salsas y de qué parte de Italia pertenecen. Elegimos la de café con salsa de ajo y setas y la de chocolate con pera; previamente como entrante, una bressaola con parmesano y rúcula muy buena. ¿Qué decir cuándo no hay calificativos suficientes para algo tan bueno y cocinado con tan mano experta? Los tipos de pasta y sus acompañamientos de salsa son todo un acierto culinario. Con toda la variedad que nos dio a elegir, es difícil solo quedarse con una. ¡Espero ir a probar el resto de la carta! En cuanto a bebidas, tienen una carta de cubatas y otra con cervezas y vinos (algunos de ellos de Menorca). De postre, no nos faltó el tiramisú, un clásico de los clásicos muy equilibrado y una tarta de queso con salsa de frutos rojos que predominaba su suavidad.
