AMAZONIA ACAI RETIRO — Restaurant in Madrid

Good bowls (a bit on the expensive side, but decent value) but you have to know that their service is SLOW. Walked in one time and there was 1 person ahead of me… I spent 35 minutes from when I walked in to when I walked out with a take-out bowl… I could have walked over to a sit down restaurant and been served in that time. I feel worse for the people behind me because 2-3 groups walked in within 10 minutes of me… can’t imagine they waited less than 45 minutes.

Update: the restaurant has relied below that they aren’t fast food, but the service bar and take-out set-up suggests that they DO see themselves as quick-serve, certainly not...

I have mixed feelings toward this place. It’s my favorite açaí in town (for me, they have the best base) but, they.are.so.slow… and the place is pretty packed 70% of the time I go. Like, sometimes I don’t want to go there just because the waiting time. I’m sorry, I just don’t like the waiting. And I also think they can improve the toppings (the quality of the fruit and the granola source) certainly, a good quality manager might improve proceses over the place and optimize the time, so as checking the quality...

We went in the afternoon to eat an Acai and I was surprised with a great variety of toppings that there are, however we have seen poor staff management, the girl who will prepare the bowls was alone and her partner was not at all interested in lending her some type of support or attention to any of his colleagues.
