Hidden Gem in Madrid's Retiro: A Culinary Delight We recently dined at a remarkable restaurant in Madrid's Retiro district, and it quickly became our favorite spot in the city. The terrace is superb, offering a delightful atmosphere for outdoor dining. The food was the most delicious we had in Madrid. The portions were generous, unlike some places in the city center. Each dish was a flavor explosion, leaving us eager for more. The porcini croquettes were absolutely phenomenal, and the chicken skewers in a dark sauce were incredibly tender. The highest compliments to the chef. We ordered five different dishes and shared them, each costing around €10. This is an unbeatable price for such exceptional quality. The crowd is diverse, ranging from stylish young people to seniors. Everyone is welcome. Our family, including our teenager, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service from Kathi and her male colleague was top-notch. They were attentive and always wore a smile, making our visit even more enjoyable. I stumbled upon Erre Que Erre while walking around Retiro, and it was impossible to miss the great vibe this place had on a Friday night - all the tables indoors and outdoors were full and the atmosphere was lively and fun. I had a few typical dishes that were absolutely delicious following great recommendations by the waitress Elena who was helpful and kind despite the language barrier. It's certainly a place I'd love to visit again.

Hemos ido a comer 5 personas, pedí mesa dentro, nos han atendido rápido, patatas bravas, calamares, croquetas de jamón, lagrimas de pollo vieiras y huevos rotos con jamón, postres tarta de manzana y coulant de chocolate. La calidad de las croquetas una pena, croquetas congeladas de supermercado. El resto de raciones buenas pero calidad precio bajo, 9.5 unas bravas (patatas) y las lagrimas de pollo unos cestos pequeños de pollo rebozado, con una salsa de mostaza barata y miel. El pollo estaba bueno. Vieiras 5 piezas muy pequeñas y sin sabor. Los calamares ricos pero de nuevo la cantidad muy pequeña. Los huevos rotos estaban buenos y tenían un tamaño adecuado con dos huevos y jamón. La tarta de manzana traía dos montones de azúcar en polvo y el coulant es el típico que se calienta en microondas. Los platos salieron sin orden, olvidaron los huevos rotos, los postres salieron uno a 20 minutos del otro. Las mesas estaban muy cerca unas de otras, en especial la nuestra, bastante ruido. Con la cantidad de lugares que hay en Madrid nada de lo que comimos nos haría volver. Normal y batalla.

I stumbled upon Erre Que Erre while walking around Retiro, and it was impossible to miss the great vibe this place had on a Friday night - all the tables indoors and outdoors were full and the atmosphere was lively and fun. We were seated quickly at an outdoor table so the people watching was great. After we ordered drinks we were served an off-menu tapas gratis that was delicious. Our server was sweet and accommodating in spite of our language difference. We had a cheese board, a prosciutto dish and something with potatoes, eggs and prosciutto. Then we enjoyed chocolate cake and cheesecake. The food was wonderful. Our meal was enjoyed slow and easy and the server made sure we had everything we needed. Our server was Helen.
