Bienmesabe Marqués de Salamanca — Restaurant in Madrid

Nice bar/restaurant which kind of leaves you to smoke inside or at the "inside" terrace, as you can see in the video i captured, probably as long as the glass doors are opened up. I took a red wine and got a nice bit of fresh patatoos, mixed with peaces of egg and some unions + some dry crunchy stuff which was nice aswell. I think i just payed about €2,20-€2,50. It's amazing that wine is cheaper then coffee in this country/city and at the same time it's also easier to find a good wine then a good coffee and it just amazes me at the same time. It seemed like a mix of locals and business people with a big dining room...

This restaurant is the first I stepped into the evening I arrived to Madrid after moving here!! Literally signed my apartment contract and went to dinner here 13/01/2019, so it holds a special place in my heart!! It’s a great place for drinks at night, afterwork, lunch or dinner, catching up with friends or just having some alone/work time!!! They had the best Huevos Rotos wth Bacalao and Garbanzos….unfortunately not on the menu anymore!! Quiero compartir una gran anécdota que me sucedió ayer por la noche cuando fui a cenar a este restaurante con mi mujer y mis cuñados. Resulta que mi mujer hizo la reserva a nombre de Beatriz. Cuando llegó la hora de darnos mesa, le preguntaron si era influencer y ella dijo que no, que se referirían a otra persona. Entre risas, nos sentamos y comimos estupendamente y muy bien atendidos por el camarero. De esos camareros por los que volverías varias veces al mismo restaurante. Simpático, atento y profesional. Al terminar, pedimos la cuenta y cuál fue nuestra sorpresa que nos dicen que la dirección del restaurante ha decidido invitarnos y pagar la cena. Incrédulos, le dijimos que no entendíamos nada y que debían de equivocarse de personas. Que no éramos influencers y que queríamos pagar la nota. Ante la insistencia de ellos, solo pudimos aceptar la invitación y dejar una buena propina. Así, nos marchamos dando las gracias. Pero al llegar al coche, me di cuenta que me había dejado el móvil en la mesa, así que volví a buscarlo. Allí estaba, encima de la barra. Y cuando me disponía a marcharme se me acercó la encargada y me dijo que se habían equivocado, que la influencer llamada Beatriz había cancelado la visita y que debíamos abonar la cuenta. Al parecer fue el dueño de esta cadena de restaurantes, el que les avisó del error y les pidió que me buscaran para abonar la cuenta. Incrédulo, llamé a mis acompañantes para que volvieran, y, entre risas y sorpresas, pagamos la cuenta. No sé qué hubiera pasado si no me llegó a dejar el móvil pero errar es de humanos y me quedo con esta simpática anécdota de una gran velada. Gran restaurante. Seguro...
