Not impressed. When I first heard about the opening of a pop up store in the center of the city I loved the idea, as I don't have always the time to go and spend several hours in a real ikea place. I think the idea is great, but as the space is very limited you can't actually find what you need because they have only a couple of samples. For example you can't try the actual mattresses. But, I really liked the bed on the ceiling, in my opinion that's the only interesting thing they have. Oh, and also the customizable service they offer: they make for example pillow covers with your initials so it's definitely a good idea, I will buy some just as a gift. There's also a small and cosy café if you feel the need to stay for a cup of coffee or tea or a snack... To sum up, I actually felt a bit claustrophobic inside. So the plan (if the store will continue being opened) is to switch themes, they now have bedroom items, then they'll change to kitchen, bathroom and so on. But let's be real who has the time to wait? Because in the end when you really need something you'll end up going to the real and...
Read moreThis place has so many issues. First, constantly out of stock of goods which are listed as in stock on the website.
Second, I placed a “pick up in-store” order online 3 weeks ago. Never received my order. The tracking app says that apparently it is still in progress and I shall come and pick it up within the next 48 hours, but when I actually came to the store (for 2 times) to pick it up, they first said that it had not arrived yet by that time and, second, they said that “I failed to pick it up so they sent it back to the warehouse”. I have never received any notifications about my delivery, and the tracking page is still saying the same thing, that the order is in progress. And I was told that they would issue a refund shortly - I have never received it. Moreover, the help line’s working hours on the website seem to be incorrect - they say it is open till 22hrs, when I called at 21, it had been already closed.
Chat bot on the website does not work either.
1 star just for the good location and polite staff in-store. As for the product range - it is impossible neither to find nor to buy stuff...
Read moreAs a homeowner at Goya, IKEA Goya store has steadily declined in its customer service and general professionalism leading to unsafe standards especially for women. The store is overcrowded, understaffed and inefficiently handled. I was subjected to an extremely aggressive conduct bordering on violence at the store by an irate customer who had occupied the line for thirty minutes. The attendant, who stands right at the first counter, enabled this man's chauvinistic attack and despite approaching the manager, not much action was taken. I suppose it is normal for women to be harassed in this store, but it shows seriously lacking safety standards expected of a developed country. I was on the verge of making a police complaint, from which I was deterred by the manager but the general line was, these...
