Me and 3 other guests were excited to indulge in crepes and waffles as a late breakfast. We enjoyed the environment and ambiance of the restaurant, but that is where the positives cede. Service was relatively slow, and although kind, misinterpreted our orders. We were excited by the various coffee options, but were disappointed with its execution, specifically the Viennese Coffee and Latte. Maybe coffee wasn't the restaurant's forte; the namesake Crepes and Waffles could've turned the experience around. However, the Jamon y Queso Crepe was extremely average, as was the basic waffle. This was acceptable to an extent, but the fancier waffles slobbed with toppings diminished any more hope for our table. The ice cream was on par with something I’d make for a science experiment. Making things worse, service took forever to get us out of the restaurant, and the bathrooms somehow disappointed as well. Haven't had too many bad restaurant experiences, but I can add this one to the list.

I feel that my recent reviews are rather negative but in hindsight it is because there are so many fabulous places to eat in Madrid. This sadly isn’t really one. In full transparency my girlfriend liked it more than me. So I’ll go though the process. We waited in a queue of 2 for about 10mins in a half empty restaurant. There were plenty of staff who I am afraid seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than paying attention to customers around them. It was only when I decided to simply go inside and find someone that we and the couple in front of us were seated. The coffee. Oh dear. Sour and far to string for a cappuccino. The food was OK. I’ve had many waffles here so had higher expectations. Waffles OK, bacon not the best, but OK. Cost: €25. 2 coffees and two plates. So that was reasonable. In all, it’s easy to get a table (when you are noticed), there’s no big queue, but there’s a reason for that - so many better places nearby.

With the poor reviews posted, I felt I had to set the record straight. I came here today as a promise to a friend, but expecting poor service from the reviews. This was not my experience today - I found the service excellent, served very quickly, everyone was very nice and patient even though I don’t speak Spanish. They helped me find the English menu on the website, and I ordered the crepe capresa. My meal came within 10 minutes, and it was delicious and fresh. Heaps of vege options. Everyone else around me was served quickly as well, no one looked unhappy. The desserts look amazing, this is what heaven looks like to me, but I didn’t order any - looking forward to my next visit.

I was here to celebrate a birthday. We were four adults and a three-year-old child. We ordered two chicken, champignon, and cheese crepes, one shrimp, one truffle chicken, a child menu (a champignon and chicken mini-crepe, a lemonade, and an ice cream), and some juices. The service was terrible; they forgot about us and took our orders late. The chicken, champignon, and cheese crepes were a robbery; each had three small chicken cubes and a lot of thick and untasty sauce. The worst part was the child menu. They gave our child not a mini-crepe but a micro-crepe with seven slices of champignon and a small cube of chicken. The adults had to complete the child's portion with our already inexistent and untasty chicken. After finishing the food, the staff took over 15 minutes to bring the ice cream (it was a toddler; you cannot make them wait for it), only after we asked for it four times. The lemonade, which was sugar with lemon, was undrinkable. Terrible. I was a fan of this restaurant, but I do not recommend it at all. Twenty minutes after leaving, our toddler was hungry, so we all ate hamburgers at a nearby KFC. For 80 euros, that was a theft. Conclusion:...

My kids are big fans or Crepes & Waffles in Colombia, and since we moved to Madrid they always ask to go there. The food is always good there, and this Crepes in Fuencarral is not the exception. However the service at this location is very inconsistent and today it was appalling. They had to wait for 30 minutes in a line when there seem to be empty tables inside. Then wait another 30 minutes to get only one of the two dishes they ordered and they were informed that that dish was sold out. Why they did not tell them this from the beginning? They had to order another dish and wait again for it. The waiter who brought the dish also brought the check, without even asking whether they wanted dessert. Then they have to wait another 20 minutes until a waiter showed up to order more water and the desserts. Despite the good food , it was not a good experience. With so many choices of good food in Madrid, I don't think we are going back there. This place does not seem to have the same service standards that their Colombian...
