Located in downtown Madrid is La Concha. I was luckily able to connect with @thelawlessroads and he sent me a list of places to check out, and this was one of them.
As with anything in Madrid please walk bc parking is nonexistent lol. We walk in and this old man reading the paper is like sit where you like. This spot is def a neighborhood thing bc the crowd was eclectic to say the least. There was a cigarette machine that had people going to it like the 1st and 15th lol.
Anyways we sit and immediately get brought an eggs and chorizo tapa (more on that shortly) and I knew it was game time. This spot was one of the few (in my experience) where they were showing the game on TV.
Egg Tortilla and Chorizo tapa 8/10 - absolutely elite tapa. Dunno if bc it was free it was better than it was but this is a must.
Boquerones en Vinagre 8/10 - bae really wanted to try these fried sardines but unfortunately this was as close as we got. Fortunately tho these are banging!
Chorizo en Cidra 7/10 - chorizo in cider basically. Had this “hot sauce” Madrid had. It’s a peculiar flavor and doesn’t need the sauces. It drops it.
Croquetas 3/10 - worst thing I had in Madrid. Who would’ve thought the most common dish would be the worst. Edible.
Cheese Plate 7/10 - standard 7 here. Nice little cheese plate but bout it.

Read moreI went over the bar with my partner, the beer was overpriced and as a “tapa” we got olives, that was disappointing since we were expecting another tapa. Finally, when we were going to pay, my card didn’t work correctly, and even though I don’t speak a lot of spanish, I could hear how he called me “Tonto” - Stupid while talking to his co-worker, afterwards he put a bad face on me and said in a mean way, “now?!”. I obviously payed, but I advice you all...
