Last week, I have visited the Nomad Inmmersive Museum of Madrid, which is located in the city centre. This time, my friend and I went to a exposition called “Spirit of Japan”, where we saw a Japanese artistic movement called “Ukiyo-e” that includes many traditional and creative masterpieces, such as the Hokusai wave, and Kuniyoshi and Utamaro drawings, among others.
This exposition was indeed very special because of the fusion of ancient art and modern technologies, and it lasted about half an hour approximately. Moreover, we could take lots of pictures and film the different scenes that this beautiful exposition provided us, and both of us and many children who went with their parents loved every minute of it! After the exposition, there is a room with different activities that children and families can enjoy.
Now, we have visited this place on Sunday, so we thought at first that it would be too crowded. Nevertheless, we barely waited for our exposition to start, as we have booked our tickets the day before, which is the most recommendable way to attend the exposition.
However, the tickets were more expensive than we have expected, as they cost between 18 and 20 euros per person, with an extra charge of 1’50 euros when purchasing them online. Worse, we could not afford them with the cultural pass due to unknown reasons. I believe that they should cost between 5 and 10 euros per person so that more people would enjoy all of these expositions. Finally, we have visited the gift shop with diverse products in relation to Japanese culture at the end of the exposition, although the prices aren’t cheap either. Despite these little incidents, the staff was very kind and welcoming at all times.
All things considered, I would give this place 4 out of 5 stars because the exposition was magnificent, but the tickets and the gift shop prices can be more expensive than you can imagine. I would highly recommend this lovely exposition to families with children and friends who want to spend the day in Madrid. In other words, this place is so wonderful that it...
Read moreHighly recommend! One of the most amazing places in Madrid! It was my second time and I am so amazed at this gorgeous, calming space in the middle of a bustling city.
All the staff is so friendly and helpful, and the installations are stunning, every detail is so well thought and well designed, from the projections and lighting to the bathroom details.
The previous exhibition on Van Gogh and the current one on Japan take you on a dreamy journey through art, music, and scent, creating unforgettable experience, letting you to relax and disconnect from a busy world.
Fantastic, highly recommended activity for both adults and children.
Before I visited I saw many reviews mentioning the high price, so I was concerned, but after the first visit I’d be willing to pay even more - for the experience you receive, the beautiful tranquil space, and the overall quality, I love it!
Don’t hesitate, do yourself and your family a favor and visit this museum, you will...
Read moreFor 18€ it was quite underwhelming. Indeed the main attraction was the video projection of various artists on the walls, a surreal experience filled with color and audio that immerses you into a world of art. That’s pretty much it. The whole attraction only has two other rooms, one where it’s filled with glass and neon lights that shows multiple reflections of yourself and one room where you can paint on a video projection. There also was supposed to be a VR section but when I asked it wasn’t available. I think with almost 20€ it should be much much better than just 3 rooms that barely has anything besides “lights and color”. Nonetheless the screening of various artists was good, but not 20€ good. With that much money you could go the national Prado Museum and still have money to...
