I will start off by saying English is my only language. I introduced myself in English and got a great English response back so I done think that was the problem. The food, was fantastic! The Cesar salad, great with a good amount of dressing but not too much, the pizza was also delicious, I had the BBQ chicken! Mmm 3 stars simply because I asked for a salad as a first course, dining alone I will add, and wanted to later order a second, the pizza. I was told they are big portions and I should just get the salad, to which I responded with let me eat the salad and then decide. Ate the salad and needed more, it was small, next thing I know some other person besides the one helping me shows up asking if I’m ready for dessert, I said no I’m waiting to order a pizza but my person hasn’t shown back up. Then same person comes back with the check and credit card machine. What the … I said, I want to order a pizza, third person I have told this to. The guests next to me said you have asked twice, reassuring me I wasn’t crazy and there wasn’t a break down in communication. Then I finally got to order my pizza and it was delicious! The decoration of the place is stunning. The food was good but there was no possibility for adaptation: for example, i am a vegetarian and i asked for the speck to be taken off my foccacia and burata and when i asked if it could be replace with something else, i had a big no. I ended up paying a supplement for the mayo with truffle. Same goes for the food for kids, it was not possible to ask for one small change. It was also not possible to order a cup of prosecco or cava because it was not available by the cup, bottle only. Then, i would like to know what spritz are made of? The service was not good, the waitress was not smiling or accommodating, It looks like she wanted to be everywhere else but here. We dropped by for an Italian meal in Madrid thanks to google reviews and I'm happy to say, we were not led astray. The interior of the restaurant itself is GORGEOUS with modern, beautiful and bright colours. We were also well taken care of by our server, Kenny, who gave us great recommendations despite a slight language barrier.

Now onto the food itself, the portions are very large and we definitely over ordered but many of the dishes were family favourites. The chicken ravioli had the perfect al dente texture with a slightly sweet and creamy sauce. The pizza was my favourite with a flexible and thin crust that held up to the ingredients on top. We also enjoyed the grilled vegetables and the molten lava cake was the perfect dessert to end the night.
