Matcha is probably one of the simplest Asian restaurants in madrid. They offer a menu del dia that surprises you with such a variety of foods with great hospitality. Everytime we go back to Madrid were eating here, just because the food is tasty, generous portions and a nice ambience in general and it's next to calle general margallo the Asian food paradise of Madrid. They prepare noodles, rice, sushi and appetisers that will leave you wanting more in a city that doesn't have zero good reputation for quality Asian food. Fully recommended Try the noodle and crunchy sushi set, yummy

Great price for amount you get. For their lunch special I paid 13.96 and got miso soup, a sushi roll and three pieces of nigiri, chicken teriyaki, and a choice of desert. I recommend for desert to get the ice cream. The matcha flan was a interesting dish to try but I did not like the mix of flavors. The chicken teriyaki was not the best so I recommend trying something else.

2 stars only for the service because they were nice and they tried their best. The food was bad (uramaki with rice not compact and salmon tartar blended, see photos). We waited a lot and we left before even finishing the degustation menu. (Saturday at lunch time) Really not recommended.

Probably the best Japanese restaurant in Madrid (at least out of the ones I've tried). They recently updated both the menu and the restaurant itself, while preserving the amazing quality of the food and the kind attentive service. It's dishes are made with care, fresh ingredients, served at a reasonable time and in fulfilling yet not overwhelming quantities. The prices, while not cheap, are reasonable. This is a place I ALWAYS recommend here in Madrid, so if you can, come and try it

EDIT:...
