Restaurante Sabor Gaucho — Restaurant in Madrid

This restaurant is brilliant! We were there for our anniversary (you better have a reservation) and it was awesome. At first it was a little difficult, because of our Spanish, but the owner himself came then to us and talked with us in English and introduced us into the way of serving. The was a huge buffet with all different kinds of food, such as salads, grilled banana, asparagus, olives, divergent rice and potato dishes to start with, but this is not why you come to a steakhouse, right? On your table you gonna find a wooden tool painted from both sides. One shows green and one shows red. As you turn up the green one, the waiter will come randomly with different meat, such as beef, pork, chicken. He will asked you if you want this kind of meat an then he cuts you a slice or two and puts it on the plate in the middle. There you can take the parts and eat them, but don't overeat! You really need some time to go through all the different meat choices. If you have enough (for now) then just turn the wooden thing to red and they stop serving. If you feel good then change to green again and so on. Better also drink something like a Caipirinha. You gonna need it! In the end they gonna serve also grilled pineapple covered with sugar and cinnamon. This you really should try! It is awesome. 😊 All in all a very nice and lovely place with a good atmosphere. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sabor Gaucho, and it was truly a standout experience from start to finish. Having visited many Brazilian steakhouses across the U.S., I can confidently say that Sabor Gaucho is one for the books. The service was nothing short of excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was flawless. It felt as though every detail was carefully thought out to make guests feel valued and comfortable.

As for the food, it was exceptional. The salad buffet offered a fantastic selection—fresh, vibrant, and diverse. It perfectly complemented the main courses, which were cooked to perfection. Each cut of steak was flavorful, tender, and expertly prepared, showcasing the culinary skills that Sabor Gaucho is clearly known for.

To round it all off, I indulged in one of the best caipirinhas I’ve ever had. Balanced, refreshing, and perfectly made, it was the ideal accompaniment to the meal.

Whether you’re planning a special occasion or just looking for an incredible meal with friends or family, I wholeheartedly recommend Sabor Gaucho. It has raised the bar for Brazilian steakhouses, and it’s a dining experience I won’t forget...

It was amazing! A great selection of meats, including beef, pork, chicken and perfectly made chicken hearts, to eat as much as you can for a set and reasonable price. As well as a large selection of different salads. And try we did. My South African husband started regretting he has eaten before on that day and had to let some meats go untasted...There was a lot of meat. The owner is hands on himself and clearly taking pleasure and pride in his establishment. Oh, and who knew that baked pineapple washes off the heaviness of the meat. This was also duly offered.
