One of the top bread bakeries in all of Spain is located in La Latina on a small side street across from the San Francisco el Grande Basilica. Just a little tiny neighborhood place with a lovely gentleman at the counter and the chef in back rolling out and baking the loaves. I am a chef, and someone who co-founded a bread bakery in the U.S. and I understand the process of making a great product. There are no compromises with quality here, and it really is evident in their bread. This is as good as it gets. All of their breads are outstanding. There are no additives or preservatives, so keeping the bread tightly wrapped and even in the freezer, then warming it after the first day will extend its life. They also sell half loaves, with is great. As opposed to some bakeries, who make most of their products early in the morning, OBRADOR SAN FRANCISCO bakes fresh breads all day, so you will always get an outstanding loaf. Caring, committed chefs bring you this incredible bread---a must-try...

I’m really disappointed for that because as a client I expect to get fresh products (as the other that I got), especially if I have to pay 6€ for 2 pieces of “focaccia”. I guess I was unlucky and this is not the typical treatment for the client, but still I cannot give a good overall evaluation for this experience even though, as I said at the beginning, the rest of the viennoiserie and bread were quite tasty and for sure the quality of that products puts them among the best...
Read moreThe products are really good but those two girls are close to be rude, they lack social and service competence and should be given a lesson on how to talk with customers, because nobody enters for free there. When having small pieces of bread for people to try and if someone asks you - can I try one? the answer cannot possibly be - that's what's for.😉 because first - you don't talk like you talk to your friends, secondly - it's obvious that someone is trying to be polite but that, evidently isn't the languge we have in common. If you wanna have a stylish and quility bakery, do it...
