As someone who had done my vegan gelato research in Rome, Florence, London, Granada, Seville, Córdoba, and Madrid with great, um, dedication, I feel 100% secure in pronouncing this THE best vegan gelato chocolate in ANY of those locales. (Their other vegan flavors, such as the mango and banana pictured here, are also great, but hey, not chocolate. Also, the customers around me eating their regular gelato looked incredibly happy.) Read moreA bit tucked away in La Latina’s Mercado de Cebada, this gelato store is an absolute gem. First of all, the gelato is incredibly delicious, 100% all natural, fresh, and homemade. Secondly, the gelato is healthier than most, and restriction-diet friendly (gelato for diabetics, vegans, etc.). Third, the owner was an absolute delight. I am a fan of real pistachio ice cream and this one must be one of the best one I tried. Thank you so much for making real icecream…not icecream from a dried mix where you had water or milk and you called homemade !!! And your charge tourist prices.
