I would leave one star but the food is very good - I will let others write about the food, they are right. Unfortunately we had to spend 2.25 hours here to only eat 1 starter, 1 main, 1 desert and one drink each. Between each course we were left no water, no drinks, a table full of dirty dishes and no one at all attending us or clearing the table for up to 30 minutes. At the end of the meal was the longest wait, about 40 minutes from the last bite of desert, with no water or drink, until someone was at our table with the credit card machine. They did manage to clean the plates from them table during that time, but never thought we might be thirsty.
The final insult was when the waitress offered us chupitos after paying the bill. We waited 10 minutes and she never appeared so we walked out. She stopped us on the way out and we mentioned the chupitos. She said she would bring them right away to the terrace. We waited on the terrace another 5 minutes then just left shocked.
With good service we would have had 2-3 drinks each, ordered another course of food and left happy. We would even be recommending this place to any of our friends that come to town. Instead we feel insulted that we wasted our Tuesday night spending 99€ for this. What a disappointment to have this wonderful space around the corner from our house finally occupied by a restaurant with great food only to have such poor service. We will not be back and cannot recommend dining here.
We dined here Tuesday 10 July 2018,...
Read moreThis Peruvian restaurant is my favorite in Madrid for various reasons: The main of course is the food touch, the last time I visited we ordered a tasting menu consisting of 8 dishes +1 snack + 1 pisco sour of 15cl. These were the courses: Boliyuca Cebiche Causa limeña Tiradito de pulpo Conchita oriental (scallop) Fried fish Lomo anticuchero Dessert
Going through the whole experience you notice a great combination of textures, balanced flavors, perfect cooking point, the pace of service is good, so you don't have to wait long in between dishes. The Pisco Sours or any other companion drink are perfectly executed. If you look for a different experience, or you are Peruvian and look for food that brings you back home rest assure this place is for...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this place while walking around and do not regret it at all. Food and drinks were amazing, everything we ordered was delicious, fresh and worth the value. You can tell they care about the quality of their food. We got dishes to share amongst the three of us and got the boliyuca, toro toro Nikkei, sabe Peru ceviche, el 69 ceviche (got a second ceviche because the first one was so good), lomo saltado, limeña causa, sangria 3.0, pisco sour. My personal favorites were the boliyuca, toro toro Nikkei which is like tuna sushi, the lomo saltado and the sabe Peru ceviche. We almost went again the next night but decided to try something new since we were visiting Madrid. Will definitely return and go to any Jhosef Arias...
