Pui's Thai Tapas — Restaurant in Madrid

I ate pad thai with chicken. It was most beautiful ever. But it did not taste real real pad thai. It was far too sweet.

I have use to add My own brown sugar if want. Sometimes I add sometimes not.

I ordered spicy. It was not spicy ATT ALL. They give me chili. And give me more chili.

Chili did not taste anything. I think it was old. ——And I think that they think its OK for me bacause I am blond European, maybe I do not eat so spicy. But I eat and they did not have real chili.

I think I find wonderful restaurant. All seems good and also wine was good. But taste of the food nothing.

Hay please!!!! Dont never look that This blond woman do not know what she is asking. I do. I also do every week home Thai food. So I am little bit angry now.

I think I will come to your place again but why would I?

Waitress was really good. Wine good. Even sparkling water was good.

But food tasteless (beautiful and tasteless). Always do not have to be spicy. Not always. But IF customer asks spicy I expect I got it.

You say that there is not so spicy chilies at Europe. Blaa blaa. In Finland we have real tasty and hot chilies in basic markets . We have all kinds of chilies: mild and medium and hot and hot hot and extra hot…extra extra hot. We eat them all home. But mostly extra hot.

Can you really say that You do not have them in Spain🤣?

Maybe I have to bring you next time good and tasty and hot and also super hot dried chilies from Finland. We also have Caroline reaper and I think that also you have….so not try to speak shit customers who are interested about food and eat all kind of food.

Brilliant Thai food! The dishes served up here are seriously flavoursome. We had the fried chicken with Thai sauce to start - crispy and tender at the same time. Then the yellow curry with pork which was bloody yummy as well as the crispy sweet chilli duck. The latter was one of the most enjoyable dishes I've had in Madrid. The meat was crispy and not too fatty, as duck can be, the sauce had a kick but also delicious sweetness, I'm pretty sure they use pineapple for the sweetness. Simply unreal. I'll put this in the Top 5 dishes in Madrid. A big part of that claim is it's uniqueness. In a city full of buratta, croquetas and tiramisu this stands out. Friendly service. Generous portions on the wine and in the end good value for money. The prices felt a little high on the menu but then when we paid up it didn't seem too expensive at all. Most definitely...

We arrived a little after opening and they did not appear ready for customers, although it was only 10 minutes before this small restaurant (my guess would be that it only has room for 40 guests inside) was nearly full. The menu is accessed by QR code, and I fully understand this is a much more efficient way to manage changes to the menu it certainly was a chore scrolling through this massive menu. Would have been nice to have a drink while we looked through the menu. Finally settled with Crispy pork Bamee Kaprao - stir-fried with oyster sauce, basil and chilli, served with egg noodles and fried egg and Massaman beef curry.
