I had lunch for two on a weekday and we tried the basic menu. We really enjoyed it: the food was tasty and original without feeling complex. The combination of textures and Asian flavours was truly amazing in the starters. For the main course I tried a particularly tender meat that felt truly outstanding. One of the best points of this menu was the size of the portions: never too large but perfectly measured for one to feel satisfied and not stuffed at all. Overal, our experience at Tomago was great: the price was really reasonable and affordable (I guess this place becomes more expensive on weekends, so watch out), the food was really easy and fulfilling and its digestion was quick and smooth. Had a very bad experience. Booked a table for 15 people and we had a menu that said 3-course dinner for 16 euro. When we decided what we were gonna have they come and change all menues to the same ones BUT with a 20 euro price instead of 16. They argued since it is holiday TOMORROW they wanted to change the menues to the Holiday version. Did not say that on the website nor the menu you could download. Completely ruined the mood around the table because they did not explain and was basically just rude to us. They apologized quickly after the dinner but had already showed bad attitude throughout the dinner. The first time around, I had the best all-round experience in this restaurant and the food was really really good! Everything we tried was on the spot delicious. The second time wasn’t that good. The food was good but not as amazing as before. Neither was the service. They served the main dish before we finished the first.
