Tagomago is a paradisiac 🏝️island in the Mediterranean and this exclusive version of the Saona restaurant group transmits that same oasis vibe when you step in it. From their Daily Fixed Pricing Menu, we ordered and strongly recommend: - Starters: - Pekín 🇨🇳Duck “croquetas” with hoisin sauce. This twist of the famous Spanish croqueta blends very well. You could taste the shredded duck 🦆 blending with the cream. - Octopus and Prawns Acevichados: the sauce sinks very well with the 🐙octopus and 🦐Prawns, this dressing is a really unique touch to this classic 🇵🇪Peruvian dish. Maybe it is the edamame, feta cheese, and yellow garlic that spice up the recipe. - crunchy Shrimp 🍤toasts served with avocado 🥑, tender garlic 🧄, and the unmistakable Kimichi sauce, that adds all the spice to the equation. - tomato 🍅salad with burrata and 🫒olives with honey 🍯, it was refreshing, and the combination of olives + honey blends harmoniously, stretching out two opposite flavors (honey and sour) that surprisingly pair very well. - Caramelized eggplant 🍆, this one disappointed me, I’m a huge fan of the eggplant, especially when it brags about being torched with a caramelized touch, but it tasted more salty than sweet. Actually, I couldn’t even scent the onion. I think the shiitake sauce and the sour cream took protagonism but in the wrong way. Entreé - Iberian Rib 🩻, a juicy meat dish if you are up for BBQ flavor. The ribs had plenty enough meat, so it will satisfy your appetite + the french fries 🍟will balance out the sweetness of the BBQ sauce. - Usuzukuri 🐟topped with 📿Japanese BBQ sauce, flawless execution, top dish for sure. The sauce had the perfect point of sweet and sour, meanwhile, the crunchy flakes added that crack to the complete experience. - truffle cannelloni with mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 and Pradano 🧀cheese. The crusted cheese gave an edge to the mushrooms filling the cannelloni, while the truffle scent was spread over both of the ingots. Desserts: - The Banoffee cake leads the sweet space thanks to its multi-flavored levels of dulce de leche, plantain 🍌, and cream served on a pie crust. - Followed by the chocolate cake with nuts where the chocolate is dark and milky enough 🍫to balance out this simple classic treat. - The puffy mango 🥭cream and raspberry 🍓 seemed more interesting in pictures than what it is served. The thin layers of puff are almost intangible when you eat them. Overall, it is a nice dessert for someone who is already full and just wants a sweet whisper. - The creamy Lemon 🍋tart delivers to those who look for a citric, acid, and sweet punch. Tagomago's warm space is heated by the cheerful smile from 👧🏼Anastacia and the diligent service from 👧🏽Luz, both made us feel like we were the only islanders at Tagomago!
