We were very excited to eat there.... But our hopes were crashed from the moment the waiter spoke with us, not professional at all with a rude and arrogance in most of the answers and attitudes. When you sit, you have to ask for every single thing you need, starting from clean plates! To forks, knifes, spoons and tissues! Plates were not washed clean in a proper way, and when we asked for replacement, the waiter took the plates without saying anything to us or apologize for the dirty plates, rather than that he came back in a minute with same plates!! And put it on the table telling us that he changed it, which he obviously did not!
Dishes: The food is not how it is originally made in the country of the restaurant, seems the chef had not been in lebanon in his life time! 1-The chickpeas(Hummes) was not made of fresh or dry chickpeas, instead canned chickpeas was used and the taste of can was in it 2- Fatoush, was full of onion only, with less tomato and some of the tomato pieces were obviously not fresh and had black spots!! 3- mansaf, again it is not how it should be, the rice is very dry, while it should be moisture with special yogurt based sauce, which they replaced by a side pot of yogurt The meat was also dry
At the end, when i asked for the bill, the waiter came and i just swapped the card, and was about to ask for the receipt but the waiter did not even wait or asked me if i need the receipt, he just turned his head and go away
It is a strange and unacceptable behavior from the staff, and i noticed they treat all customers in...
Read moreIncredible dining experience. My girlfriend and I had just left Las Ventas, and the staff here made us feel so at home. They were attentive and friendly, and they gave us space to have a romantic experience but when we felt a little more social they were more than happy to open up and make us feel welcome. They told us about Lebanese culture, gave us complimentary cultural drinks and snacks, and all the while were anticipating our every dining need. At one point, our waiter even went down the street to the store to buy some items for us before it closed, all so that we could continue enjoying our dinner.
The staff here are amazing people, absolute salt of the earth. Food was incredible, everything was affordable, and it's in such a prime location. For such a modestly sized restaurant, my girlfriend and I came away from Shukran City having had the best dining experience...
