I have been wanting to try out this place for a while and I finally was able to the other day. I reserved online for a table outside. The tables were properly separated although it wasn’t necessary this time as we were the only party outside. The reservation system forces you to choose a croquette tasting, which is annoying especially since you can’t see what is on said menu as their website is down. We wanted to be able to choose the types of croquettes as some seemed a little boring but the menu options really pigeon hole you into their choices especially since they force you to start with a cheese board in order to be able to choose flavors. This doesn’t seem to benefit their efficiency whilst annoying customers and not letting them choose what they want, but I digress. They had about 7 or 8 beers on their drinks list, but none of them true craft beers unfortunately, it would be nice if they had some belgian beers or at least have a list curated by somebody who knows about beer, also charging 5 euros for a paulaner is a bit egregious. We ended up with selection A if I remember correctly. All the croquettes were good, but many didn’t have much of a distinct flavor. The chorizo and morcilla were my favorites as they were easily identifiable. The exterior breading was very good, but I found the bechamel a little too gelatinous to be able to consider theese truly gourmet level croquettes. The dessert croquettes are quite innovative, but the results aren’t executed as well as they could be. The crema catalana had a flambeed exterior which was great, but the interior didn’t have much flavor at all, a little salted caramel or something along those lines would have gona a long way. The brownie croquette was disappointing in comparison, as it had a normal exterior, but really no brownie flavor inside, just some very low quality chocolate, and not much of it either, maybe mix in a little brownie batter and add a little 70% dark chocolate? The savory croquettes were all brought at the same time so they got cold half way through the tasting, maybe bring them out 2 or 3 at a time per person? Overall this place is great in concept, but the execution could improve greatly, just put more real ingredients in the croquettes like much more cheese in the cheese ones...etcetera. The pricing is a little high for the area. I don’t think I would return unless they lowered prices and...

It has been a while since I had an experience even remotely close to the mess this was.
We organised a mate’s birthday in this place knowing how good it had been in another occasion. We were told we had to order within a time window otherwise we would have to wait for a whole hour until we would be able to order again.
If that was not bad enough we started getting the orders in the wooden spoons where the croquettes are served at an alarming rate after a long wait. Later on, the waitress gave us a large list printed in a receipt-like fashion and said we would have to figure out which croquettes were which, and walked away. It was almost impossible to know which croquettes were which to the point I ate a goat cheese one that was not my order, having been reassured it was the “cachopo” one.
The manager appeared to apologise and said we would get a discount. We finally got it, but still very unimpressed.
A birthday...
Restaurante altamente...
