SteakBurger Atocha — Restaurant in Madrid

Great food, but horrible service. It was only me and my friend in the entire restaurant. I had to constantly look for the waiter after waiting many times and long times, without anyone around. I had to literally call out and walk around, even go downstairs, to find someone, and still wait. When I finally got to order, he didn’t speak any English at all, which I understand but in the reviews it said the workers spoke some English. When I finally got my food and started eating, the waiter walked fast-pace around us 20-30 times nonstop, just walking around fast for his exercise, not to help us- the whole time while I was eating- it made me very anxious and uncomfortable, I couldn’t enjoy my meal. And then of course! When I needed to leave and get the check, he was nowhere to be seen again, I had to go find him, and he barely even looked at me when he handed me the check.

I tried to be nice to him, but it seems that he just doesn’t care at all. I didn’t get his name, but he’s a slightly tall black guy. I am very surprised because of all the good reviews about the service. The food is...

Tourist Trap. I had high expectations for Steakburger Arocha, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The place is excessively overpriced for what it offers. The meat was not cooked to the temperature I requested, and the juices soaked through the bun, which ended up soggy and unappetizing. The artichokes were overly greasy, lacking balance and finesse.

What stood out the most, however, was the lack of courteous and professional service. Despite arriving at an off-peak hour (around 5:30 PM, not a typical lunch or dinner time), and with the restaurant completely empty, we were asked if we had a reservation—something that made little sense and reflected a lack of basic judgment from the waiter.

Overall, I found this restaurant extremely overpriced, and there are many better alternatives nearby offering better food, better service, and more reasonable prices. I strongly suggest they improve their customer service and focus on consistency in food...

Waited 30 minutes for our appetizers to be served, other guests who had arrived long after us were served their food before (we didn’t mind too much about that we thought it took them longer to prepare ours) when it finally arrives food was cold as if it had been prepared an hour ago… The waitress was so rude and unprofessional, we asked for our receipt in order to pay and leave.. we had to ask TWICE because she kept walking around the restaurant as if we hadn’t asked, she finally brought the receipt, well not brought, tossed it at our table and left…we kept waiting for her to come charge us the amount but guess what? Also never did. We ended up going to the front desk and asking another waiter to charge us. We had been there before, it was such a pleasant experience we thought we would repeat, but after this second time (specially the attention received by the waitress) we can confidently say it...
