Taberna Los Chanquetes — Restaurant in Madrid

Las personas con discapacidad severa evitan este restaurante, el propietario del restaurante, como he experimentado personalmente, es desenfrenado en su rechazo de las personas con discapacidad que están en sillas de ruedas o scooters. Mi experiencia; estaba de pie delante de la puerta del pub con mi scooter cuando se abrió la puerta porque otro cliente salía del pub. Cuando el propietario me vio, gritó desde el surtidor de gasolina en mi dirección y en la dirección de sus empleados ningún lugar y quería negarme el acceso al restaurante. Yo, por mi parte, aparqué el scooter delante de la puerta y entré en el pub con ayuda de mis muletas, donde el dueño también gesticuló de forma salvaje y agresiva, diciendo que no tenía sitio. Pude comprobar por mí mismo que el comedor estaba completamente vacío, ni un solo cliente estaba sentado allí. Entonces le dije que no sentía empatía por las personas con discapacidad y que era una persona agresiva. Espero que el lector pueda entender que no quería comer allí. Es una pena que un propietario con esta actitud inhumana no tenga que temer ninguna consecuencia.

My experience; I was standing in front of the door to the pub with my scooter when the door was opened because another guest was leaving the pub. When the landlord saw me, he shouted from the petrol pump in my direction and in the direction of his employees and wanted to deny me access to the restaurant. I, on the other hand, parked the scooter in front of the door and went into the pub with the help of my crutches, where the owner also gesticulated wildly and aggressively, saying he had no room. I could see for myself that the dining room was completely empty, not a single guest was sitting there. I then told him that he had no empathy for people with disabilities and was an aggressive person. I hope the reader can understand that I didn't want to eat there. It's a shame that an owner with this inhuman attitude doesn't have to fear any...

We were looking for a place to have dinner and after walking around we came across this place. It is typical taverna with a small side restaurant. The food and atmosphere were really good. We ordered a bottle of wine which was opened in front of us(so no refill as some reviews claims). Service was excellent. We took the red large shrimps at 14 eur which were delicious. We also tried couple desserts( rice pudding and special of the day: pear cooked in wine) both homemade and really. They have great price, good food, good service and place feels typical and not touristic so what...

Average food, oxtail stew was mediocre despite the waiter saying its their specialty. After asking for vegetarian dish we were recommended a salad. The salad contained tuna fish and waiter was rude and rolling eyes when we wanted to replace it with VEGETARIAN salad. The replacement salad was the original one with tuna removed so the whole salad smelled from tuna anyway. When paying the same waiter did not say a word and just threw the receipt on the table.
