✨5 must try Restaurants in Madrid ✨ ⬇️ 📌save for your next trip to Spain ✨It is so hard to just pick a few restaurants, but these were the most memorable, whether with food or décor. 📍ENTRE SANTOS MADRID Delicious!! This is advertised as a cocktail bar, however, their food, cocktails, and everything in between was amazing! I absolutely loved their spicy margarita!! Restaurant does not take reservations 📍TABERNA LA CONCHA The food, display, and quality is AMAZING. They are known for a vermouth drink that they make right at your table (it’s like a show, so cool!!!). My favorites were the prongs ceviche with black caviar – the taste and display of that dish belong in a fine dining restaurant! Other favorites were the anchovies in pesto and pork loin in 3 cheese sauce. We had 5 alcohol drinks and 5 tapas and bill was 57 euros! There were so many other items on the menu we wanted to try that looked good. 📍TABERNA EL SUR Delish sangria and food! This is a small pace and extremely packed. Make sure to make reservations or be prepared to wait a long time! 📍GRAMA LOUNGE The food is truly so amazing and delicious. The place has the best drinks and the ambiance has a really cool and relaxed vibe 📍BOTIN Oldest restaurant in the world! Founded in 1725 (3 centuries old). Reservations are a must, at least a month in advance for your desire time. Make sure to request to eat in the cellar! We ordered their specialty: suckling pig along with Iberian ham and garlic shrimps. Food was not the best, but the whole experience was pretty cool. It’s a bucket list item to check off – eating at the oldest restaurant in the world! 🏛️ Madrid Itinerary – Part II 👇🏼 Save for your next trip! 📍El Retiro Park: Right next to Prado, it’s one of the most iconic parks in Europe. Rent a boat for a relaxing afternoon 📍Tinto y Tapas - a great place to get some tapas and wine, close to Reina Sofia museum 📍Prado Museum: Tix 15 EUR, however, but last 2 hours are FREE of charge 📍Dinner at Taberna la Concha in the La Latina neighborhood (loved the area). The food, it’s display and quality is amazing. 📍Santiago Bernabeu Stadium: If you are a Real Madrid fan or simply a football fan, make sure you visit one of the most legendary stadiums in the world! Get yourself a stadium tour and get familiar with the history of the most decorated football club in the world. Visit the locker rooms where Zinedine Zidane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and countless other legendary players got ready before their games. Walk down the tunnel and sit on the bench where Real Madrid’s manager sits every home game 📍La Latina – walk around the liveliest and our favorite neighborhood 📍Flamenco show: Corral De La Moreria $50 show and drink. If having dinner, + cost of dinner. This is the most famous Spanish dance – flamenco is a combination of art, passion, and color 📍Dinner at Taberna el Sur – delish sangria and food! Vermouth! Vermut! If you like it and are a fan then I would suggest you come here. They serve Iris on tap (I have been looking for this brand since reading about it in the Vermouth museum in Reus a couple years ago). It is a very old brand and it is delicious - a great balance between sweet and bitter with some nice spices - overall a fabulous well-balanced red vermouth. Ok but this place is not all about vermouth. My wife ordered the sangria and it was great. Again, good balance of sweetness, wine, and fruit - very smooth and easy to drink. We didn’t try the white sangria, which we saw the bartender making on our way in, but that will be part of our next mission. Next I want to talk about the tapas. We only ordered a few things, but they were all excellent. I am not sure if this will be our favorite tapas place during our two week trip to Madrid or La Concha - we still have to go back here (I can’t waiiit!) Everything we ordered was recommended by the waiter. That leads me to the next great thing about this place: the service! If you travel in Spain at all, you know good service and politeness is hard to find. Well it is all here and it is all great. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and attentive, even though they were busy. I am excited to try more from the menu.

Delicioso!! Me and my boyfriend had the Doré smoked salmon salad, the ropa vieja (Cuban pulled beef), prawn risotto, and the special of the day (pork shoulder). Everything was so yummy. Many reviewers recommended the ropa vieja and they were not wrong. It was especially scrumptious. Our favorite though was the prawn risotto. It has such a delectable prawn seafood flavor infused into the succulent rice. Edit: My bf and I came back a second time during our trip to taste our past favorites one more time before leaving Madrid. We ordered the ropa vieja and prawn risotto again. Unfortunately they ran out of the risotto which was a bit upsetting but this actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Instead we tried the grilled baby octopus salad, the scrambled eggs with bacalhau (a rehydrated salted cod), and the mussels in marina sauce. SPOILER ALERT!! Everything was delicious!! The baby octopus and mussels especially which makes sense as seafood is so fresh in Spain. The sauce the mussels were tossed in was addictive. Acidic and full of the sweetness of fresh seafood. AMAZING!!!

As a couple of tourists exploring Spain, we sought out this restaurant based on its positive reviews, hoping for some traditional cuisine. Upon entering, we realized it operated more like a bar with limited seating for just four people, as the waiter informed us. After being seated, we ordered three traditional dishes, and to our surprise, the food arrived in under eight minutes. Unfortunately, the paella was the worst we've ever tasted. We paid €12 for seven fried calamari that were not fresh and €19 for octopus that was of poor quality. It felt like the food had either been pre-prepared or was leftover from earlier meals. Afterward, we experienced stomach discomfort, prompting us to share our experience. It’s hard to understand how this restaurant has received so many positive reviews when our visit did not reflect that quality at all.
