INCREDIBLE food at an UNBEATABLE price!! My family & I stumbled across this gem on a Saturday afternoon, and were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. The wait staff were all very friendly & attentive (particularly the host who managed to squeeze us in), despite the place being packed to the gills. Prix fixe is an amazing value (starter, main, and dessert + 1 beer/glass of wine/soda) for under 20 euros a person!! All the food is Galician specialties (with a few exceptions), we ordered a wide variety and NOTHING disappointed. We especially loved the Peruvian ceviche starter, the Galician broth/soup, the sea bass, octopus with potatoes, and the solomillo pork! The portions were perfect, not too big and not too small (although for children smaller than 5 you may have leftovers). We cannot WAIT to come back again!! And for those commenting that the waiters don't speak any English, perhaps you didn't realize it but the language spoken in Spain isn't English, IT'S SPANISH!! If you don't like that, don't...
Read moreI called ahead to confirm whether the restaurant offered vegan options, as it’s listed as ‘vegetarian-friendly.’ Unfortunately, the staff was unfamiliar with what ‘vegan’ means. After clarifying that I don’t consume any animal products, they assured me they could adapt a dish called ‘Alcachofas con bacon.’
Upon arrival, the waiter seemed equally confused about my vegan requirements. I had to ask twice for them to confirm that the dish was vegan-friendly. Initially, they said it was, but upon further questioning about the sauce, they had to check again and finally told me the dish would come without bacon or sauce.
Just before serving my companions, the waiter informed me that they were ‘out of alcachofas.’ This put me in an awkward situation, and I had to settle for a salad. Additionally, they offer no plant-based or lactose-free milk options.
Due to these experiences, I cannot recommend this restaurant for people with dietary restrictions...
Read moreOutstanding restaurant to try the Menu del Dia. It is a beautiful space with lovely decorations. Of course the main reason to visit is the food and at Terramundi you will not be disappointed. Between us, we had the Salmon Tartar and Croquettes as the first course. Both choices were wonderful. The second course was the Hake for my partner and Pork Knuckle, potato, and chorizo for myself. I'd never had a pork knuckle before and was delighted by the flavour. Dessert was tiramisu for me and Filloas for my partner. The Filloas were the superior choice (I had a tiny taste). Menu del Dia includes bread to sop up the sauces and a beverage (wine, beer, or water). Reservations are recommended but not...
