Zen Bamboo — Restaurant in Madrid

Walked in and got no greeting, eventually we were sat. They have an all you can eat “buffet,” but you order everything from your table. They also have a menu del dia for 12€. I looked at it online and it seemed like they would have something available vegan so I asked if they could make the maki variados with just vegetables. They reacted like this was an insane request and told me that it’s a set menu so I said okay, we would just have the drinks we had already been served. She finally told me it would be just cucumber and avocado which I was of course fine with. This was all in Spanish, by the way. The rolls were fresh but the service was very lacking and the other food options weren’t as good according to my friend (he had gyoza and fried rice with chicken skewers). I wanted to try this place as it’s close to my work but I won’t be returning unfortunately. Maybe it’s better if you want an all you can eat experience but they aren’t accommodating and borderline rude with dietary restrictions...

I had 20.minutes extra on my schedule and wanted to have a dri k and.relax. But I met the worst service ever. 1st of all a man blocked me the way to enter and only after that I asked if I may come in he showed me to the table. After that when I said that I only wanted a drink and not to eat ... he showed a very unpleasant face and started discussing with othe staff that I don't want to eat out loud to the whole place. I felt very embarrassed... and uncomfortable. I asked if there was a problem...and he told me that I had to tell from the beginning that I did not want to eat... so... it's my fault and I did it wrong 😁😁😁 Really... I would never recommend this place I felt like Julia Roberts in this film Pretty Woman when she walked in to buy clothes and the seller told her off... definitely not...

By far the worst sushi ever. Followed closely by the worst service and rude employees!! Supposedly it’s a buffet which you keep ordering and they keep bringing. The problem is you order and once five pieces arrive the waiter disappears for 20 minutes to give time for feeling full. We caught on to their tactics and got up and asked them to come take more orders. The lady responded with major attitude, She didn’t like that much. The sushi was also bland and not fresh at all. Horrible place all around. I wouldn’t suggest this place to and enemy let alone someone I care about. The only way they have garnered 4 star is probably rating themselves or paying for favorable...
