My recent visit to this Madrid restaurant, my first, offered a blend of highs and a few minor disappointments. We arrived 30 minutes ahead of our reservation to a bustling scene and welcoming atmosphere but were promptly seated, a testament to their efficient service! Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering excellent recommendations.
We started with sangria and a caramel latte. The sangria, while beautifully presented, was surprisingly light—more akin to a fruity, slightly carbonated soda with a hint of cinnamon than a traditional sangria. The caramel latte was also quite sweet; next time, I'd definitely request an extra shot of espresso to balance it out.
The Food: From Pretty Good to Phenomenal On to the food! The French toast was another visually appealing dish, adorned with slivered almonds, a very sweet blueberry sauce, fresh fruit, and a much-needed dollop of crème fraîche to cut through the sweetness. Overall, it was a pretty good dish. However, the undeniable star of the show was the Bacon and Egg Bagel. This was hands down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bagel itself was incredibly fresh and soft, perfectly studded with sesame seeds. It was generously stuffed with eggs, crispy bacon, and even onion straws, but the true highlight was the delicious and flavorful pesto. As a huge pesto fan, I truly appreciated the fresh, vibrant taste it brought to the sandwich.
With a diverse menu and consistently great service, this restaurant is certainly worth a visit. When I return to Madrid, I'll be making a beeline for that Bacon and Egg...
Read moreI recently visited Zenith and would like to share my impressions. Overall, the experience left me with mixed feelings, but there are a few aspects worth noting.
First and foremost, I must mention that the initial impression of the waiter taking our order was not entirely friendly. He seemed somewhat unfriendly and handled our interaction with a certain awkwardness. This slightly dampened the overall service experience.
However, the other staff members at the establishment were quite pleasant and polite. They were ready to assist and answered our questions. So far, my interactions with them have been much more pleasant.
As for the food, I particularly enjoyed the combination of poached eggs in breadcrumbs. It was a unique and interesting dish that turned out to be very tasty. I was satisfied with this choice and would gladly try something similar in the future.
The general atmosphere at Zenith was pleasant and cozy. The establishment was well-decorated, and the place was clean and well-maintained. I appreciated how they created a comfortable setting for visitors.
Overall, despite some shortcomings, my experience at Zenith was fairly acceptable. I appreciated their intriguing menu and well-organized ambiance. If the waiter had been more friendly, it would have made the visit even more enjoyable. Nonetheless, I still recommend visiting Zenith and trying their...
Read moreMy absolute favorite Brunch spot in Madrid, I bring all of my friends and family here and nobody has ever left without dreaming about this place for days! The eggs benedict are great, but if you are not vegetarian I recommend the Zenith ones, the crispy jamón just adds the perfect touch to the runny poached egg and the creamy avocado. If you have a sweet tooth, the granola or the Nutella pancakes are the way to go. The pancakes are fluffy on the inside and the middle but somehow crispy around the edges and they have the perfect amount of nutella, fruit and ice cream on top. The granola compliments the yogurt it comes with very well, but personally after eating it I wasn’t full. Now comes my go-to order, the eggs and bacon bagel. Now that already sounds delicious, doesn’t it? But the thing that makes this bagel stand out from all the other bagels I’ve had in my life, is the pesto. So trust me on that one, don’t skip this bagel! But one thing is missing.. What is brunch without coffee? The latte art looks amazing but it tastes even better. Though I do recommend asking for more espresso and less milk, because for my personal taste it is a little bit too milky. In conclusion: You...
