Besaya Beach — Restaurant in Marbella

We spent over 180€ n 30 min and the service and tone was so bad we had to leave. We had called in and reserved sun beds by the beach. When we arrived at 11am as one of the first guests we were given the furthest away sun bed although no one else was there. We then sat down and asked for some coffees, we were told that they don’t know what a decaffeinated coffee is. We asked for a menu and were told no menu until 1pm. I insisted for at least a drinks menu. I then walked to the main restaurant/cafe and ordered a decaf coffee and matcha and 2 croissants, the whole order took 20min to be prepared, which is ridiculous. All the staff refers to each other and no one was acting.

When wanting to go to the toilets we were wearing a sarong and shorts we were told we needed to get dressed to enter the bathrooms, which is ridiculous for a beach club.

All I can say is if you don’t want to work in the service industry don’t and don’t make guests feel...

I have never written a bad review before, but we had a bad experience here. We booked the day before, but had to wait 10 mins to be seen by the greeter. We tried to tell her we had a reservation, but she walked off mid-sentence to talk to a table of people she knew. Then she came back and asked for our names again. She said "you have to be out of here in 1.5 hours". We said that might not be long enough, so she said she get us another table. It was outside. There was a cold wind and no shelter. The service was so slow. The food was overpriced, and disappointing. As soon as it came it went cold due to the wind. We had to wait 30 mins for the bill. Nobody came and eventually I went to inside to pay. The greeter told me it was my own fault. You might be very disappointed with Besaya beach. There are so many great restaurants nearby. Maybe try somewhere else. Besaya beach leaves you feeling like you are...

We were extremely dissatisfied with the inadequate service provided at this restaurant. Firstly, there was a 35-minute delay before our table was attended to for drink orders. Secondly, it took us over 25 minutes to place our food order. Throughout our meal, we were unable to obtain refills as no staff member approached our table to take additional drink orders. It was only after we finished eating that they finally came to inquire about drink refills. Although the food was delicious, the overall service was severely lacking. Regrettably, we will not be returning to this place, despite its convenient location and tasty cuisine. We typically enjoy inviting friends and clients here, but the service needs significant improvement. We have decided to abstain from revisiting until we receive positive feedback from acquaintances regarding the service...
