A huge thank you to Noelia, Cesar and all the staff in Les Cubes for the perfect wedding venue. My husband and I were enormously impressed with how attentive all the staff was from the start to finish. This really helped us to relax, knowing that our guests were extremely well looked after.
We first visited Les Cubes 6 months before our big day for a menu tasting, which was definitely the best part of the wedding planning. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were blown away by the amazing backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with stylish furniture and high quality tableware.
We tasted a variety of dishes and our only problem was choosing our favourite, as each dish was as delicious as the last. Presentation was fabulous and the quality of ingredients was top class. I was particularly impressed with the vegetarian dishes which were very creative and beautifully presented. After an abundance of good food and wine we decided on our menu for the wedding and got to meet the chefs, which was a really nice touch.
When we arrived at Les Cubes on the day of the wedding we commenced with a drinks reception and canapes, all of which were delicious. The set up for dinner was very impressive; each table was decorated beautifully with twinkling candles dotted across the room. Each dish served was as beautiful and consistent with the food we had at the tasting. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was, in particular the beef fillet. They were also impressed by how amazing and accommodating the staff was.
After our meal the restaurant transformed into a spacious dance floor for our band, followed by a DJ who played into the early hours of the morning. I must say the staff was exceptional, they were on their feet all evening and kept smiles on their faces all the way through. We had 50+ guests and no one was left waiting at the bar for drinks we were all seen straight away and that gave us plenty of dancing time.
Thank you Les Cubes for the best day of our lives...
Read moreJust to be clear, this is a review for D.O.Mar, and not the recently closed Les Cubes. Domar has a menu designed by a famous 2 Michelin star chef, and to be honest I would suggest that he visits this restaurant to check out the disaster he has put his name to. There is a great looking bar to the side of the restaurant, but that’s it as the staff behind it have no idea what they are doing. Inside the restaurant, the menu is relatively limited, and the food is really nothing special. We had a calamari dish to start with, and then 2 fish dishes, one which was literally covered in salt and uncooked in the middle (this was sea bass and can not be served raw). When we told the waitress she asked if we would like it cooked more? No apologies etc, and quite frankly we didn’t want one as we just wanted to get out of there. All the used plates and cutlery were also just left lying on a shelf directly behind where we and the 3 neighboring Tables. I could go on and on but you get the general idea...
Les cubes (which was previously located here) was a great restaurant, but this place is a disaster and would not recommend to anyone. Shame as it’s such a...
Read more2 Stars are for the location and setting, which is beautiful. 1 star is for the italian girl at the bar, who actually can make cocktails. Went there a few times and 2 other bar staff did not have the skill for that.
When having fish make sure it's cooked to your liking. My turbot was undercooked and tasted anonymous. Quality of the fish is top notch, but the cooking doesn't make anything out of it, which is a pity, given this could be a great place to return to regularly.
I also had dessert, which was way too sweet for my taste. Cheese selection was good, but setting the price for the food to the higher side, the restaurant should work on the presentation. I think, that all it needs, is a professional F&B manager and some training for the chef. Next time I will have a beer at the bar and a steak in the restaurant paired with some solid wine (wine list is good and not crazy priced yet).
It's a smoker's restaurant and bar, which means, you can smoke inside! There is also a non smokers section for the restaurant. However - this is not...
