Terrible experience at El Patio (Marbella Club 5★)

We went there as a group of four, hoping to enjoy the beautiful patio. Although half the tables outside were empty, we were told everything was “fully booked” and pushed to sit inside. Only when we were about to leave did a table “magically” become available — after another 10 minutes of waiting.

Service was a mess from start to finish. Twice we asked for the juice menu, only to be given the food menu instead. Staff claimed there was no juice menu at all, until we insisted and they finally brought it.

The prices are absurd: nearly €17 for a smoothie and €10 for three glasses of filtered tap water they try to upsell as bottled water. The drinks themselves were just as bad: • one was flavorless, • one was unbearably sweet (sent back and returned diluted, with no taste), • and another never arrived until we asked again — twice.

Staff were dismissive and unpleasant throughout.

🍽️ Food (Lunch & Dinner): I visited the restaurant for lunch and the food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. However, the dinner menu is different, and unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. It felt underwhelming compared to lunch.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Staff & Service: Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the young lady at the reception — she was professional and warm.

😕 Management Experience: What truly ruined the experience was the manager in the formal suit. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He doesn’t make eye contact, doesn’t greet or respond properly, and I witnessed him refusing to seat guests for no clear reason. His attitude seemed very moody and disrespectful, which was disappointing to see in such an otherwise nice place.
