We went to this restaurant as I know the nephew of the owner and I thought was a good place to meet with our friends. We were with a group of 11, our table was ready when we came on the terrace. The menu looks good with a lot of choices. But...maybe they should have less choices and make the food better. Something simple as a chicken satay and serve it burned is not very good. The sea bass looks good but no taste. The service was incredibly bad we came at 21:00 and yes we were slow in ordering but once ordered it took a long time to get starters. That was not main issue as the main course came more then one hour later. Even after asking about it. We also ordered several drinks, came in batches and some never showed up :-( The only waiter that tried to help us good was from 🇻🇪 Venezuela and apologise to us. We left around 00:00 without desserts, 3 hours for starter and main course. My first time visiting La Mar will be my last time and I will tell my friends and family as well. What you could easily have made a better experience, got ruined. There are enough places in Marbella so better...

Incredible restaurant. Very nicely situated on the shore, with a view of the harbor and the ocean. The staff is super sweet and helpful.

There is a vast choice of tapas, which I'd definitely recommend. They can easily make up for a full meal, although their fish and meat dishes are also superb. The garlic bread and mushroom aioli combination is a must try!

They also offer live music on most evenings for a relaxed and soothing evening atmosphere. So far our favourite place...

We had a group dinner for 8 at La Mar Marbella and made a reservation in advance, which is definitely a must, especially since it was during Feria de San Bernabé and the place was really busy.

The food took a while to arrive, but the staff were very accommodating and kept us updated. When the dishes finally came, they were, fresh, flavourful, and well worth the wait.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend La Mar Marbella, just be sure to book ahead, especially during...

A bit of a tourist trap. Cocktails were actually good, but the food was really disappointing. Peking duck for €25 was badly made and tasted cheap — definitely not what you’d expect from that dish. The chicken burger came with a frozen patty and basic ingredients, also around €20… no thanks. We ended up here just because it was late and we needed to eat. For a drink it’s fine, and the location on the promenade is nice, but for food — I’d go somewhere else.

My partner and I had an amazing Sunday night dinner. We arrived close to 22:30, happy to hear that their kitchen was still open. Reasonably priced 5€ wine. But the highlight was the Angus beef! Absolutely worth the price, every element on the plate was delicious, they were happy to swap the fries for a salad. 10/10 recommend and it’s next to a bar/restaurant that plays live music so the vibe was perfect!
