We found this restaurant on a side street by chance as we walked through the old town. It looked very presentable, and the service was polite. We were served three kinds of dry bread and a few olives (Carrefour/Lidl style) before ordering food. No butter, no olive oil, as it usually comes in standard restaurants. We found out that we got charged for it later on! It never happened to us before in any restaurant across the world! We've ordered seafood, vegetarian paella, and some prawn dishes. Portions were tiny, and everything looked like it was made to save money. After the meal, we ordered two coffees, and we asked for a bit of frothed milk for our 6-year-old. The tiny amount of frothed milk turned out to be charged as standard coffee later on. When I asked the staff about it, they replied, "This is how it is here." I believe that any business should rely on returning customers, especially in a place like this. We are going out today, and for the next few days we will be looking for decent restaurants. Obviously, we will not be returning to yours, as it's a so-called "tourist trap." When you try to save money by lowering the quality of your business, you sabotage your own success. Read moreWhat a beautiful place. Set in a very pretty street just off orange square, this restaurant is a real find. There is some street seating but there is also the most amazing patio area built into the walls of the castle. The waiters were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The food is very traditional. My husband had been wanting to try Segovia suckling pig, it did not disappoint. There is a good range of fish, meat and vegetarian options. It is all presented with flair. The desserts were especially amazing. We visited at night and had our little dog with us, the waiter found a table that accommodated our dog on the street side of the restaurant, again we were made so welcome. Will definitely be returning on our next visit and looking forward to trying other menu items. Feel very lucky to have found this little gem in the heart...
Read moreI have to say that while there is nothing wrong with the place... This lags a bit beyond the competition. Prices as a little higher in proportion to similar restaurants and the quality and quantity just not quite as good. The Sangria was way too sweet, the patatas bravas a bit soggy, meat paella only tasted of garlic, couple of the tapas was served on tortillas that were overcooked and too hard. The service was great and the space inside and outside is ok... But again a bit aged and not particularly taken care of when compared with other (possibly more moder) restaurants in the area.
It is nonetheless open for lunch and in a quite corner of the...
