Tartufo Marbella — Restaurant in Marbella

I recently had a highly unpleasant dining experience at the restaurant "Tartufo" and I am quite disappointed with the level of service I received. The waiter's behavior was absolutely abhorrent and completely unacceptable.

Upon arrival, I was seated promptly but noticed that the restaurant seemed rather busy. Seeing that my food took an excruciatingly long 45 minutes to arrive, I politely approached the waiter to inquire about the delay. To my astonishment, he immediately transformed into a raging monster.

Instead of addressing my concerns in a professional manner, the waiter started screaming at me, accusing me of being impatient and causing a scene. His aggressive and offensive behavior left me feeling humiliated and insulted. There is absolutely no excuse for such outrageous conduct towards a paying customer.

I understand that restaurants can get busy and delays happen, but it is the responsibility of the staff, including the waiter, to manage the situation with grace and decorum. Their role is to ensure a positive dining experience for all patrons, not to engage in verbal assault.

This waiter's behavior not only ruined my evening but also tainted my impression of the entire restaurant. It is unfathomable that Tart would employ someone who lacks basic customer service skills and has such a volatile temperament.

I strongly advise against dining at Tartufo if you value being treated with respect and professionalism. The waiter's appalling behavior marred the entire experience, and I have no intentions of returning to a restaurant that tolerates and condones such behavior...

So, first of all, I do not leave many reviews. However, I have to say that our meal this evening at Il Tartufo was truly exceptional and deserves recognition. We were visiting our daughter who was studying in Spain and so we were looking for something other than tapas for dinner. We found the restaurant on TripAdvisor and gave it a try. It is in a more quiet neighborhood than most of the other restaurants that we had been looking at. We were greeted warmly and found the service to be incredibly attentive, professional, personable and even entertaining! :) They seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that we had a special meal, which is not often the case at tourist destinations in my experience. The menu was very innovative and the food was delicious. I know that other patrons may have different experiences, but for our family, on this night, we had a wonderful and memorable dinner.

Great experience! We had a really crunchy garlic bread followed by a sweet and savoury ravioli that really takes us back to our childhood memories, it gives the feeling of being back eating the beef stew that's made by your grandparents. Then the tagliatelle was also great albeit missing a bit more salt to my taste, but the butter sauce goes perfect as to not overpower the fresh truffle flavour. Meat was another world, we had the beef fillet with some truffle and it was cooked to perfection! Soft and melts in your mouth and the pairing fits so well to bring out the meat flavour.

Tiramisu was amazing! Not too sweet, and makes amazing closing to the whole meal.

Both Celine and Manuel made the experience even more amazing as they were so attentive and super friendly.

And Sushi Martini is recomended!!!

Will definitely be going back to try other things on the menu...
