After experiencing a lot of average food in Puerto Rico we looked a little further and glad wee did. Me and my wife shared the prawns in hot garlic oil and that alone was worth going for. I had the gnocchi with pesto and it was delicious and so fresh. My wife had the steak which was also really nice.... though a little tip from her is we are from Scotland and she likes her steak medium rare back home but here that is more on the rare side so you might want to think about that as it seems it's normal in Gran Canaria to cook it a little less...but it's a personal preference. It's out 2nd last night and just gutted we only found it now as will most likely get a taxi back over and go again for our last night. We visit gran canaria very regularly always stay in Puerto Rico area it's really nice also lovely views food and people if you know where to go some restaurants and areas are to be avoided tho with bad food service and pickpockets, we would normally walk along the path from Puerto Rico beach to Amadores beach the sand, restaurant's is much better along there depending on what you like, but as for this restaurant casa italia Isabella the waitress and couple different male staff also absolutely lovely so friendly people would do anything to help you even stored our beach equipment as we where coming back in 4 weeks times again,
