Belice Café Restaurante — Restaurant in Mogán

We didnt have high expectations about the food since by the beach all restaurants are simply touristic, overprized and have a standard menu of standard quality. But the staff is clearly only pushing peoplr in to make money (which is not a surprise aswell) but then unfortunatley we were not treated very friendly. It doesnt matter where you are or what you pay, custo er service and friendlieness should not be a special request. After asking (all communication in fluent spanish) for a dish without cheese due to allergy staff reacted in a rude way, still though it was served. In the end the bill came and we asked to pay seperated (some cash, other by card) since we were a larger group. The waiter blamed us that this was not possible and made a big mess out of it. He became rude and unfriendly and told us he cannot do this and we should have told him before even ordering the food when we were asked. 1.we were never asked to pay together or seperate. 2.we all know that this is bot a problem and a common thing it actually just takes a pen and a paper to seperate and 2min of time. The first waiter was discussing, really blaming us as we explained in spanish that this is not our fault and we were never asked in the beginning. Then he send his collegue to split the bill...surprise it took 2 minutes, the second waiter apologized and said it was no problem. The first waiter ruined the lunch with his attitude. If I could give it 0 stars I would. We had eaten lunch already but wanted an iced coffee and fresh juice. It was 2pm and the place was busy but as it is advertised as a cafe and restaurant we thought it would be OK to order just drinks. Firstly we had to wait a long time for the drinks menu to arrive. When it did, we then placed the order but were told the kitchen wouldn't like to make the juice because they are busy so I can't have it. I don't drink alcohol or soft drinks so we just ordered iced coffee. We waited a long time then the waiter came to ask what we want, we repeated just the coffee and I said again that I would like the fresh juice but that he has told me he can't make it so there's nothings else I want. He was annoyed and went away again and came back rudely to say we have to leave.

If you have to order food then they should have told us at the beginning or advertised this. They could also have been professional and not rude for us asking for something on their menu!

We also noticed that the manager was shouting at some customers because they had joined two tables for their group. Again very rude. Do not go here!

Belice Cafe Restaurante is situated on Playa de Amadores . In our opinion the best beach in the area. Behind the beach there are numerous fine restaurants and Belice is one of them. We had chosen 4 of our favourites to revisit and the restaurant lived up to our expectations again. It is a mixture of traditional Spanish, Italian and Lebanese cooking and I can promise you will not be disappointed. The restaurant also offers take aways for people on the beach.
