Caffeto Bar — Restaurant in Murcia

This is one of my favorite places to go for a relaxing coffee on my own or with friends (they do also have tapas and cakes and pastries!) And they're open on Sundays!

It couldn't be more centrally located-- right smack in the middle of the city center, just off of Trapería-- yet it also feels kind of hidden and secluded. The interior is so cute and cozy, with homey and funky decorations and low, comfortable chairs. It really makes you want to curl up with a book. They also have a large terraza, which is often in the shade.

They don't have wifi, so if you're coming to work or study, be prepared to use your data. Or maybe take it as a sign to disconnect in order to reconnect ;)

La situación que vivimos ayer en esta cafetería fue algo surrealista y digno de estudio, siempre vamos a Drexco pero ayer tuvimos muchas cosas que hacer y cuando llegamos a las 12:45 nos dijeron que ya no ponían desayunos con tostadas, por lo tanto nos fuimos, de camino a la Gran Vía se nos ocurrió sentarnos en este lugar, mi mujer y yo llevamos juntos casi 10 años y desde que la conozco siempre pide el mismo desayuno, y cuando digo siempre es siempre, viene la chica a tomar nota y mi mujer pide una tostada entera de tomate y un café con leche en vaso, al rato nos sirven el café (en vaso, perfecto), unos minutos después la tostada (media integral), lo que se había pedido era entera normal, lo que lleva pidiendo 20 años, tan claro como que ella no come productos integrales vamos, en ese momento mi mujer se lo dice al camarero (no fue el que tomó nota), a lo que el camarero respondió muy educado, " voy a comentárselo a mi compañera ", se lo dijo ahí mismo, a unos metros de nosotros en la terraza, en voz baja, la respuesta de la camarera que había tomado nota fue "que mentirosa!", algo de lo que yo me percaté, en lugar de hacer algo tan sencillo como reconocer un error le falta el respeto a un cliente, cuando se lo dijimos su orgullo pudo más que su buen hacer y no pidió una disculpa, se limitó a decir "vale", y nada más. En fin, situación surrealista como digo y por supuesto que seguiremos desayunando en Drexco todos los días, por una tontería perdieron...

This place is cute and they have a friendly staff. Unfortunately the prices are deceiving and I feel that we were taken advantage of. The tea + media tostada with jamon combo is 2,50 but if you order a "specialty" tea you are charged an extra 1,70. How they get the math is beyond me.
