Pistatxo — Restaurant in Murcia

We were so excited to try Pistatxo but we were really disappointed. The food was cold (luke-warm) at best. The plates were freezing, the kitchen prepares the food and leaves it on a table just outside the kitchen (without a heat lamp). On the night that we visited, the owner was on his own and was preparing drinks so food would sit on the table for a while. The menu lacks imagination. The food is very basic and if you have a large appetite then this restaurant simply won't be for you. I didn't eat much of my meal at all. The atmosphere is more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. One of the best vegetarian restaurants I have ever visited. We went on a Saturday and it was incredibly busy, we were lucky to get a table so I would definitely recommend booking beforehand. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. There is a menu which includes 3 courses, bread, water and a coffee or tea which costs €13.50 on weekends and €12.50 on weekdays. On entering a half empty restaurant, it took a while but eventually the waiter came to me and uttered a single word ‘completo’ he had no English and all he could do was repeat the word! Completo, Completo… The Spanish gentleman behind me explained they were fully booked. So I had no opportunity to ask when they had a table free or how I would book as they had absolutely no English.
