Since 2009 we live in the region, close to Nerja and we discovered Sapore last year and soon became regulars. It's the experience, a combination of hospitality, nice service and good food and drinks. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the staff is making you feel welcome. Francisco the waiter serves us in an excellent and professional way very time and Carla the boss and hostess treats us like family. The products they serve are good and the rare occasion something was missing or wrong, they instantly corrected this without any problem. The Italian wines they serve make a nice change to the otherwise fine Spanish wines we drink. The desserts, and I am usually not a dessert man are great, try the chocolate cake, the Panacotta or the Tiramisu, delicious. After that you need a nice Italian espresso and a good quality grappa to finish experience. We had many lovely lunches and dinners with and without friends in Sapore. I have one remark, but not against Sapore, but against the few guests leaving 1* nasty comments last year. In my experience people just love to complain, but after leaving the restaurant. More often than not they finish their plates, don't ask any questions or complain, they don't sent food back, but love to complain about the colour of a chair once they are back where they came from. Ask and tell, the staff and for sure they will attent to your wishes or correct any mistakes when given the chance. I have no problem being critical as a paying customer and have high demands, but just be fair! Un Saludo...
Read moreI had very pleasant dinner two days ago, ordered seafood risotto, was very delicious i have to say. Today, i was confident i would get good dish too. I ordered white beef steak, MEDIUM! First plate they served, the beef is overcooked, almost well done, meat is chewing and dry. I informed the waiter, after a while he asked if i want another plate, i told him i would like to have a tender medium steak. So the waiter took away the steak, i told him to keep the vegetable. The chef is making a new piece, meanwhile, there's no any new table or new order in the restaurant. I almost finished all the potatoes from the previous plate, newly cooked steak came. After ate a few bites, i realize it's under cooked, i ordered medium, it's raw(can see very well on the pic). I was very disappointed, i couldn't eat anymore. And i complained to the waiter, he just say sorry, and he said it's special steak, it's white beef steak, so it's difficult to see... 🙄 I recommend if the chef doesn't know how to cook steak, use a metal tempture stick to check it, it's very easy to control doesn't matter what kind of meat. So i didn't finish the steak ofc, i recommend don't order their meat dish. In the end, the owner or the waiter didn't offer any discount or compensation even though they knew that dish is wrong and i'm not happy with it, for twice! It's really shame. I spent 20 euros and my evening time for this...
Read moreAmazing place to eat , staff are so nice and looked after my little girl so well. Staff went above and behind , I asked for a dish that wasn't on the menu and he made it for me. Definitely the best place to eat in nerja. Looks like a family runned business.
Adrian also looked after us so well.
UPDATE: SO massive update on this restaurant, I went 4 days in a row after I posted this review for lunch. On our 4th day the restaurant had nobody in it besides my wife, baby and I. I asked for a highchair and I was told it's reserved for another guest. So we said it was ok. Now we got there at 1pm and we had our meal finished by 1.45 and Bill paid and all by 2pm , and still nobody in the highchair. I asked the waiter and he said it was booked for 2.30. The waiter had served us the past few days and knew we don't stay long , and we said to him only 1 highchair maybe u need more and he rudely replied saying no we don't want too. This older waiter is very rude and the days he served us it was like he didn't want to be there.
The owner and Adrian are very nice , but im sorry but this older waiter is very rude and let's the...
