My husband and I shared the paella, and it was the best paella I've had in my many years of visiting and eating in Nerja. My daughter had tge wagu beef burger and it looked so good I had a bite. I'm so glad I did; it was better than 5 Guys! My vegetarian daughter had the veggie noodle bowl and my son had carbonara, which they both enjoyed. My Mother in law had the fresh catch fish of the day and said it was really good. But the best thing about Restaurante El Capricho was the customer service. We made an evening reservation for outside and although it was cold, we sat out there. After awhile the owner came and told us that if we get too cold, he'd set up a table for us inside. Another big party came and took that table inside and when he saw how much colder it got, he set a new table inside for us like it was no problem at all. Located on the Calle Mérida very close to the RIU Monica. Run by a husband and wife team who offer excellent hospitality. The food is freshly prepared to order and offers a wide ranging menu all at a very reasonable price. You can enjoy free tapas with a beer or wine at the bar, if you just require a snack. Good wine, beer and beverages are served to accompany your meal. The restaurant is tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean with a street terrace which catches the morning and early afternoon sun. Youssef y su familia, nos hicieron sentir como en casa.

Empezaré relatando que fuimos a Nerja, y no habíamos reservado previamente ningún lugar para la comida. Pese a la dificultad que entrañaba reservar a la 13:30 para 10 personas, llamé alentado por las buenas recomendaciones y enseguida nos gestionó una mesa. No defraudó.

Cumplió sobradamente nuestras expectativas. Cocina de toda la vida, sin florituras, con producto de primera calidad a un precio más que competitivo.

Excelente servicio, con mucha profesionalidad y una amabilidad increíble, como si del mejor padre de familia (que lo es), se tratara. La comida estuvo buenísima y los platos muy bien presentados. El aceite de las freidoras, se mostraba limpio, nada del típico lugar al que acudes y se encuentra reutilizado incontables ocasiones. Nos sorprendió la transparencia y recomendaciones, pequeños detalles que marcan la diferencia. Nos indicó que quitásemos un plato porque no había salido como de costumbre, y nos sugirió otros (tostas), que estaban exquisitos.

La sangria, de las mejores que he probado.

Los postres, caseros, denotan un paladar exquisito por el buen hacer.

Si estáis por la zona, alejaros de los lugares típicos y dejaros caer por el Capricho. Un deleite para los sentidos.
