Came for the paella, stayed for the carrillada! Affordable, satisfying Spanish food.
The menu of the day is an incredible value at only 15€. I ordered paella and carrillada (slow-cooked beef cheeks). The paella is served in individual portions plated from a large traditional pan. It wasn’t saucy, which I actually preferred as it had more satisfying texture. It had both seafood and pork but was not overly fishy.
The star of the show was the carrillada - unbelievably tender meat that shredded with zero effort. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was served on top of roasted potatoes. The gravy was very minimal and brothy, which was different from what I experienced in Seville. They also serve fresh bread that’s wonderfully soft and satisfying.
I noticed that they had Peruvian causa, and croquettes on the menu, which I would love to try next time. They had vegetarian options as well. I saw an adorable elderly woman eating the spinach lasagna, which looked delicious.
The atmosphere and service are no-frills but prompt and efficient. One thing to note - this place appears to be very authentic! Everyone in the restaurant was speaking Spanish, and there’s no English menu available. For me, this added to...
Read moreWe went for lunch in Sa Goleta. Warning – can be quite busy at lunch time, so could be that reservation is needed. Locals prefer the place and it fully met our expectations. Some people before recommended the paellas. We have to confirm – it was super tasty. There is also a chance to take lunch menu – around 11 EUR and choosing from starter/second/sweet. The portions on the other tables were quite big. For paella we took for 2 people (13 eur per person) and it was very very nice (negra with seafood), the portion was even too big for two people. There are two people running the place and they were very busy, however they found the time to serve each customer and the waiting time was not big. For 2 people we paid together around 40 EUR. Lunch menu can be a cheaper solution. So a good place for local food as some reviews...
Read moreThis is one of the best places to enjoy traditional Spanish food in Mallorca! The quality is exceptional, the portions are generous, and the prices are unbeatable. We first tried to visit on a Sunday, but it was fully booked, so we made a reservation for Tuesday instead. If we had managed to get a table on Sunday, we would have happily returned on Tuesday as well.
The menu offers a fantastic variety of options at an incredible value, making it a must-try. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant, but be sure to make a reservation to secure your spot. Congratulations to the team for delivering such outstanding food...
