Maria 5 Urban — Restaurant in Palma

We stopped there to get some snacks/drinks and a long break from our Xmas shopping. It took forever to serve us and that's considering there were only 3 or 4 tables occupied, including us! We could see several reasons for the delay, one WAITRESS SITTING peacefully at the bar (that's what it seemed to me at first) while the OTHERS WERE BUSY CHATTING.

We were shocked when we saw who was actually "working" on our order. The seated WAITRESS got up and walked with a limp, not a little, the LIMP was exaggerated and her FACE OF PAIN was VISIBLE to any human being.

What kind of heartless company has someone working in those conditions? Walking with that terrible limp to serve between orders and then sitting down to relieve the pain on a hard chair. This in the UK is completely unthinkable and I am very irritated because I fear that she is probably there because she cannot leave freely.

We spent enough time there to conclude that "that" was not normal. If it were up to us, those responsible for this situation would be in prison

BTW, we didn't see anyone who seemed to be in charge so we could complain and recriminated them for what we were seeing, although, personally, I'm sure it wouldn't have helped that poor waitress. Nowadays, only when they are exposed on social media there´s a chance that they will act correctly, since humanity or common sense clearly don't exist in this "4" star...

I loved eating at this place needing a quick food stop in my excursion to palma de mallorca and this one delivered, was told drinks arrive in around 3 minutes and food took a bit longer so I was expecting to rush a little bit so I could finish in 50 minutes.

The meal and drinks came out around 15 minutes after order allowing me 30 to 35 minutes of eating. Easily communicated with the servers of the restaurant. Some understand full English others only some with mainly spainsh which allows you to brush up on your vocab.

Allows contactless pay for both phone and card and they take cash so everything is very convenient for whatever method you are...

What a delight! We stumbled across this place on Sunday evening and recalled seeing it online earlier that day. The Chef, Jo, so happened to be stood outside so we took the opportunity to ask if there were any vegan options (I’m vegan, my partner isn’t - dining out can be tricky!). He instantly made us feel so welcome and said he’d sort something out no problem. His friendly hospitality made us feel confident we’d have a great evening, so we took a seat.
