"Hidden Gem!"👨🍳👌💎 This lovely modestly sized restaurant is nestled in a back street, far enough to get a table without too long a wait, busy enough to reassure you of its quality.
Wife had the Seafood Paella. Huge portion generous amounts of fresh seafood.
Son had Seafood pasta. He ate it with his head down, making grunting noises of deep approval. Daughter has the Barrata (Buffalo mozzarella with rocket snd cherry tomatoes. Reported to be amazing.
I had the Bruschetta with I begrudgingly shared, it was incredible. How you get roadter read, tomatoes olive oil and basil to sing like it did was alchemical.
Also has Patatas Braves (it does an odd Italian and Spanish mixed menu that just works somehow).
The spuds were hot small and delicious. Again resentful sharing helped me not turn into a carb demon.
Son and I had the house Rioja. Excellent.
Oh a friendly side salad helped clean the palate, too.
We were very happy to pay the €134 bill and will definitely be back again!
The service was informal and friendly despite how busy they were.
So.e people were having what looked like a beautiful glass of Sangria.. ..Real wow factor.
There is some outdoor seating bit we preferred indoors with its cooling air con. Really stylish inside too. Just cool.
There was a queue of about 50 to 10 people waiting when we left.
Excellent...
Read moreMe and my sister went around for a dinner to this restaurant. I read a review and throw that it's gonna be lovely place to have paella. Ones we cross the door to the restaurant, some administrator/waiter in the same time told to us in very rude way that he's alone tonight, and we need to wait 40 minutes for food and as well to be served. After that we said it's fine and asked him if we can sit outside, and he said - wherever you want but not to bother him, because he's alone tonight in the restaurant and very busy...Service here absolutely horrible. I'm as a gest not really want to know that in the first second when i coming inside restaurant. Even if you have a problem you can say in polite to people, not with the shouting and on the rude way.. Price for paella 20€ per person, and it's minimum cooked for 2person or more. So if you're coming alone for a dinner you need to pay 40€ for your dinner. Portion of paella was really very big, and is hard to finish. It was alright, but not great paella for me (a lot of see food there, but doesn't test like it was cooked together). What i definitely liked is sangria here. But waiter put a lot of ice into it, and didn't asked before if it's ok for us. Rude behavior can change and good point. I don't remember this place to visit. It's expensive and absolutely disrespectful into the...
Read more4.7?! Yowzer, I didn’t want to do this but, this was easily one of the worst paellas I’ve had in my life, regardless of country and place.
The cook on the rice was inconsistent. Some grains weren’t cooked and hard, others just mush.
The seafoood paella had one flavor profile just straight ocean. No fragrance. It was like I was eating sand with my seafood.
The Sofrito was just tomato sauce? There was no flavor…it didn’t exist.
The socarratt was non existent, given how under cooked the rice was this is no surprise.
Frozen vegetables in the paella?! Like why, why add more fluid to an already wet sloppy paella.
Raw cut lemons on top? Pass me the corona why don’t you ?
Separate of the food, the server spilled a coffee/ cappuccino when cleaning a table which I get happens. But the coffee splashed on my leg clothing, as well as my partner white dress. 0 acknowledgement from the owner (that’s basic service 101).
Anyways here to save some people some cash and disappointment...
