Had been here once before, eaten inside and had a good experience. This time I booked to eat on the terrace. The food was ok but the service was very poor which is why I have awarded the two stars.
To begin with, I asked for bread for the table together with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The latter were brought straight away but no bread. I politely asked again and two pieces of bread turned up for the three of us. I asked for a third piece. The waiter came back, returned and said that he had been told he could only bring a further two pieces of bread ie would need to charge extra. Given that we were going to spend a good EUR150 I found this farcical but did not make an issue of it: just said fine.
One of my friends has various food needs and asked if the spaghetti could be served with tomato sauce without garlic. The waiter checked with the chef who said no. Why a so called chef couldn’t reduce some tomato’s is beyond me, especially as we were eating early and plenty of tables were free: it wasn’t busy.
Towards the end of the starters the waiter asked to take my plate even as food was still on it and I was obviously still eating. I had to pick up my knife and fork whilst he did it. Same with one of my friends. This was clearly because our main courses were ready.
My tacos were good. One friend had chicken skewers which she said were greasy. My other friend - who couldn’t have the garlic tomato sauce - had egg and chips: not what he wanted.
As we were finishing up the waiter unfortunately smashed a red wine glass just behind me and I was lucky not to get red wine on my clothes.
All in all, not a great experience. The setting is lovely, the food is ok, but given my experience you might get better service in the restaurant...

Our journey began with a tantalizing array of tapas, each bite bursting with flavor and artfully presented. The anticipation only grew as we savored each morsel, knowing that the best was yet to come.
And come it did, in the form of a main course that surpassed all expectations. The homemade ricotta and spinach ravioli, a labor of love from the kitchen, was a symphony of textures and tastes, each bite filled with the comforting richness of home-cooked a pasta.
The red tuna tartar elevated seafood to new heights with its perfect balance of freshness and depth, while the white wine, a Malvasia produced by the Ca’n pico winery located in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana in Mallorca, with its crisp acidity and subtle hints of apricot, added a delightful layer of complexity to each dish.
And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, dessert arrived. From the zesty lime cream to the velvety dark chocolate, each spoonful was a revelation, a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs behind the scenes.
Yet La Malvasia is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. From the warm hospitality of the owner to the impeccable service from start to finish, every moment spent here is a celebration of life's simple pleasures.

Read moreThe restaurant did not meet our expectations, we were hoping for something a bit more special. The food was just okay, I could have made the same dishes at home, maybe even better, since everything was quite basic. While prices seem reasonable at first, it definitely felt overpriced for what you actually get. We had planned our trip carefully and booked all our restaurant reservations in advance, as we always do when traveling, and chose to save this place for our last night. Unfortunately, it ended up being a real disappointment. There are definitely better places to have dinner in Palma, so keep that in mind before choosing this restaurant. The service was very attentive, maybe even a little overwhelming, as they constantly asked if everything was alright or if we needed anything else. Staff also walked around the tables with desserts, trying quite hard to sell them, which made us feel a bit like we were at a market. Plus, we noticed that only guests who seemed to enjoy themselves were given a QR code to leave a review, while those who didn’t appear as satisfied weren’t offered one. During our dinner, we noticed a lot of other guests also looked disappointed with...
