I bought an Apartment directly at the plaça cort in march and I visited the cafe cappuccino a few times after I moved to Mallorca. I can now make a good judgment about the food and the service. the map is small. The food is of good quality but the prices are significantly overpriced. Since I can afford these prices, I often went there due to the proximity to my apartment. the service is the worst and most rude and above all arrogant i have ever experienced in any country i have lived in. i put it down to the main session and the stress that came with it, but that wasn't the case. it is constantly overcrowded and there is no clear order as to who gets to which table. so it happened more than once that i had to wait and asked for the next table, but still had to wait more than 3-4 more. The young, dark-haired waiter who serves outside seems to be the contact person for that, so be sure, whether you stand in line or not or whether you tell another waiter, you will be treated like a petitioner and if you ask you will be told, that you can go somewhere else or that they have enough other customers. my tip, go to the cafe cappuccino a little further innder near the olivar market, the service is far better and the ambience is A DREAM.
I would have liked to have become a daily visit customer because I live here all year , but all in all, with the subterranean service, you can also spend twenty euros elsewhere for a salad or over a hundred for a little bit of sushi. the star for the quality of the food, not for the price and not for the service.
I‘ll not visit this...
Read moreWe are residents of the island and sometimes take our houseguests on a walk into town to show them the sights. On occasion, we stop at this hotel for a drink or a coffee and cake. I have never had a satisfying experience here as the staff are pathetic with zero sense of customer service or hospitality.
This afternoon, the service was so slow. It took ages to order 2 coffees, a tea and slice of almond cake. They arrived a while later - first the drinks and a while later, the cake. Any staff working in a cafe in a hotel in Germany or France would know that guests often enjoy food and drink together. I pointed this out to the staff member who made up excuses that they were busy with orders of residents of the hotel.
A good waiter would have said 'sorry for the delay, enjoy your cake' Instead, our waiter had the cheek to go look for the order to prove me wrong and show me the time at which it was placed and that it was not an unreasonable amount of time to wait.
Sadly, I don't find staff in Mallorca well trained maybe because they are badly paid and don't get enough tips to motivate them enough to work so his behaviour was unsurprising but I would hope that someone within the Cappucino group of hotels whether in HR or senior management pay attention to feedback given about staff that are supposedly in the...
Read moreBritish Tourist. Visited Sept 25. Visited here off the back of recommendations. It’s a cool looking hotel and we did love the decor as for the cafe, I honestly felt like they were taking the p**s with some of their pricing for food and drinks. The prices of tapas were extortionate and there drinks (including non alcoholic) were beyond reasonable. It was more expensive than London prices. We ended up staying having 2 berry and coconut smoothie and a single portion of chips. It came to nearly 40 euros. Service was average. It took a while to take our order, took a while to receive our drinks then we watched a waiter look lost, when delivering our food, stood next to our table, did not ask us if we order chips, walk away and place our order on the side and just left them there until a different waiter finally brought them over a couple of minutes later. I won’t say they had gone cold but I think if a venue is going to charge you a premium, you expect a premium service…….. personally, I’d recommend you just walk in go get your photo for social media then leave and go to a...
