Marisqueria Internacional — Restaurant in Palma

Restaurant was recommended by the hotel, not sure why, (kick backs?)it was very average. Got there at 21:00 but the waiter didn’t really give us any time to look over the menu and was hovering awkwardly, place wasn’t full, continued to hover when we were discussing what we would eat, came twice to ask what we wanted as he was so near he could see we hadn’t really decided he didn’t give us any recommendations of what was good, I thought that maybe they closed soon but saw later that it was 00:00… I ended up ordering schnitzel as felt so rushed saw that someone had ordered it on the table next to us and it looked ok, (this is a sea food restaurant) wife ordered a prawn starter only, which was large but tasteless. Schnitzel was actually ok, Small salad that came with it needed dressing but didn’t have it, Restaurant is in a good location right by the sea. As many have said they came with an appetizer that we didn’t order and they charged us for it, I don’t even eat olives.. so felt they should ask at least. This was the first time I didn’t check the reviews, and it was one of the worst food we have ever had. Two waiters came to us, one of them served us a starter with olives, oil and bread forcefully, even though we said no, he still brought it and charged us for two people, and when asked why did he charge us twice, he said “portion for two people”. But I said NO. We also had 4 oysters and all I have to say is that my stomach feels funny right now. Nonetheless. I had tuna salad. The veggies were literally not cut. The asparagus was whole and the tomatoes were cut in half. Plain, awful, one of the worst tuna salads I had in my life(and that says a lot). My husband had steak. A steak tasting like paper. No taste at all. His veggies were also uncut. I think cutting veggies is a luxury for this restaurant. He also had a brown looking sauce. He said it tasted like it went bad, and didn’t have any. The water was the only good thing we had. The worst €68 we ever spent. Be careful, and avoid this place at all costs. The 3.7 grade is an overstatement, and the moral of this story is: always...

The atmosphere is nice because it overlooks the sea you can even catch the sunset if you time it correctly, so that is the only advantage it has. I arrived on my own to dine, not even a welcome to the point I chose a table myself. As soon as I sat down I noticed the table cloth was dirty, the napkin was dirty and they didn’t even notice it and apologized. The waiter that took my order was so unwelcoming and rude that I was already regretting my decision. Be started weiting down my order, but be careful they will bring you dried bread and if you eat it they will charge extra. Male sure to indicate on the menu everything you wish to order because they will try to bring you extra, so be precise. This is a complete tourist trap! The presentation of the dishes is terrible ( for the price) it looks thrown onto it with no care at all, it even made me wonder about the quality. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE YOU SEE SITTING DOWN AND BY THE ATMOSPHERE, NOT WORTH IT! I ate in 20 mins and couldn’t wait to leave! So dissapointed...
