PALET Taberna Griego Mediterránea — Restaurant in Palma

I recently visited this restaurant and it was a delightful experience. To start, I ordered the dolmades, and I must say, they were exceptionally creamy and delicious. The filling was smooth and flavorful, and the outer layer was soft and easy to bite into. The second plate I ordered was the Istanbul Casserole, which was equally satisfying. The hearty casserole was filling and comforting, with a mix of spinach and yogurt that blended well together. The flavors were well balanced and the portion size was generous.

Unfortunately, the dessert, a classic baklava, was a bit of a letdown. It was dry and lacked more of the sweet, syrupy goodness and more pistacho filling that one would expect from this popular dessert (My girlfriend loved it though so plus points for it still). Despite this minor issue, I would still recommend this restaurant for its tasty food and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Antes íbamos mucho, pero últimamente los camareros son un poco bordes. Hoy hemos ido a las 22:30 en punto, nos han dicho que la cocina acababa de cerrar y se han negado a servirnos ni siquiera un poco de pan con algún plato frío… la comida es muy buena, pero me temo que no voy a volver. Se nota que no está en dueño, porque han rechazado una mesa de 4, que hubiera gastado 100€ tranquilamente.

Agradezco tu respuesta, en primer lugar, tu empleada primero me ha dicho que si me servían y luego que no, que lo sentía pero la cocina estaba cerrada. En todo momento me he mostrado comprensivo, solo queríamos un par de platos fríos, cierto que no he sido el más amable del mundo, pero después del si he salido detrás de mis amigos para pedirles que se sentaran, que nos pondrían algo ligero y frío, y cuando ya los tenia sentados ha salido tu empleada/compañera y me ha dicho que no, que no me daba nada de cena. Pero ni he montado un escándalo ni he increpado de forma maleducada, simplemente le he dicho que es una pena, y que me llamaba la atención que rechazaran una mesa fácil, que hubiese bebido una botella de vino y 4 platos fríos.

Segundo, éramos 4 chicos, por lo que no se de donde te sacas lo de mi amiga, que os ha pedido un bocadillo y ha increpado a no se quien cuando sacaba la basura… imagino que me confundís, y espero que corrijáis vuestra respuesta.

Tercero, efectivamente, estuve ayer, y ya intenté que me montarais una mesa de 4 en la terraza, pero me argumentasteis que no podríais pasar entre las mesas… tampoco dije nada y me fui al bar de al lado. Y efectivamente hacia tiempo que no os visitaba, pero antes de la pandemia cené en vuestra terraza muchas veces, y más de una vez arrastre a mi grupo de amigos y montamos mesa de 8-10 personas.

Ante estas respuestas estarás de acuerdo en que tengo derecho a opinar que no tenéis el personal más amable del mundo… creo que mi valoración ni es destructiva, ni insulta ni tiene voluntad de hacer daño. Simplemente doy mi opinión que, desde mi punto de vista, no responde a un buen servicio. Insisto, han sido siempre respuestas amables, pero poco afortunadas.

Mucha suerte en los negocios, de verdad os deseo lo mejor, que entendáis mi valoración como una crítica sin acritud y que no lo veáis como un ataque, sino como una oportunidad...

Really nice food. Been meaning to go for a while because my partner had been. Great menu and very good selection of dishes from Greece and around the Mediterranean too. We ordered the Greek salad which was really fresh and super nice, the Fava de Santorini which is like a Greek style hummus (really delicious) and also the Yaourtlu kebab. All dishes we shared.

The beer selection is excellent.

Decent cocktail list and my partner had a Mango Daiquiri and really liked it.

Didn’t have any wine on this occasion but will definitely be back.

Staff really good. Friendly and efficient.

Interior of restaurant is really nicely decorated and is welcoming. The outdoor terrace looks nice too but we were inside on this occasion.
