Restaurante Asador BOLIXE Cocina Esencial — Restaurant in Palma

We had dinner here last Friday night and were blown away by the whole experience. We booked ahead via their website and shortly after got a confirmation WhatsApp from Leo the manager. On arrival we took some time to decide what to order, and asked a few questions about the €30 taster menu, but in the end decided on just the Barbeque Bolixe Cuts for two dish, we turned down the bread as we heard this was big enough and we were glad we did. For wine we just ordered the house Rioja as we had read this was good, Leo came to us shortly after and advised they did not have this wine chilled at 17 degrees but had the next wine on the menu at the optimal temperature and offered this instead at the same price. The wine we got in the end is the Trece Lucas which he said was his wife’s favourite - we loved it too!

Ordering only the Barbecue we weren’t expecting any other food, but they brought us two gift starters anyway which was nice, one was carrots/breadsticks to dip in a beetroot mayo type sauce and an olive dip (tapenade or similar I think), the other was a thinly sliced meat dish I’m not sure if it was beef or pork but it was very nice.

Once the meat came we were glad we didn’t order anything else as it was massive, and came with a side salad and two baked potatoes with butter!

The meat was cooked beautifully and medium rare/medium with slight pink bits on the cuts which could. The black pudding was amazing too I’d recommend this to anybody to at least try this!

After dinner we saw another couple order the Traditional Argentinian Pancake and we had to have one too! We shared this and it was perfect.

We had a couple of limoncello’s which came in quite large glasses as well as two espresso once done. When getting the bill they even brought us some local spirit made in Mallorca and left the whole bottle on the table for us to have as much as we wanted, we didn’t have more than one small glass each as we were already drunk by this stage. The bill came to €76.25 which is great value for money, plus tip.

The staff were all extremely friendly, especially the waiter who answered our query’s in perfect English when Leo wasn’t there. I’m sorry but I’m not sure if his name but he had a beard.

We will definitely come back here when in Palma - thanks...

It’s my and my wife’s first time in Mallorca. Although we are not staying in Palma we obviously decided to get to know it and while doing so we found out Bolixe. We didn’t know how lucky we were when they accepted us as walk-ins! This was literally the best service we’ve ever had. We felt as VIPs the entire time. The staff was super helpful and the owner is in the business for almost 20 years and showed passion like it was the opening day (And it was Monday night!). He is amazing!

The menu can be scanned through QR code and then each option has a photo of the plate. For us this was incredible because we are definitely not experts when it comes to steaks/meats. I was driving and I’m not used to drink so we asked the owner a good non-alcoholic alternative and he suggested the kombucha sangria. What an amazing drink!

The food was even better, from starters to dessert, there’s not a single thing to point out. We chose the Porterhouse to share and it was cooked to perfection. It came with hand-cut homemade fries and a french potato. As not a big fan of potato in general I can safely say this was the best thing I’ve ever had.

We were halfway through the meal and already making plans to comeback before going back home, that’s how good they are!

Definitely worth every € spent and I can guarantee anyone that they’re losing if visiting Palma but not Bolixe. They are simply amazing. The day was excellent and they just turned it perfect. Thank you very much for...

Fuimos en búsqueda de una experiencia y nos llevamos una grata sorpresa. Celebrar un cumpleaños siempre es una ocasión especial, y encontrar el lugar perfecto para festejarlo puede ser una aventura en sí misma. Mi señora leyó las reseñas que en general eran buenas acerca de este lugar pero se encontró con una en particular, que decía qué el lugar era caro. Entiendo que haya gente que ni siquiera cocine en su propia casa para saber de primera mano cuál es el costo de las cosas. A pesar de este punto, nuestra elección de este restaurante de comida Argentina para honrar las raíces y los gustos de la familia fue una decisión acertada, especialmente considerando la experiencia culinaria de cada miembro de la familia. Es admirable que, a pesar de tener estándares altos debido a nuestra experiencia en la industria de la hospitalidad, hayamos encontrado un lugar que no solo cumple con las expectativas sino que también ofrece una relación calidad-precio razonable. La capacidad de disfrutar de una comida exquisita sin que el costo eclipse la experiencia es definitivamente algo que vale la pena celebrar. ¡Qué maravilloso que este restaurante haya sido capaz de proporcionar una experiencia tan memorable para la celebración del 21º cumpleaños de vuestra hija, dejando una impresión duradera que inspiró una reseña positiva! Humildemente tengo una familia de 5 integrantes y sabemos bien lo que cuesta hacer las compras. En esta ocasión fuimos 6 personas y gastamos alrededor de €160 unos €26 por persona. Que cada uno saque sus concluciones!!! Además de felicitar cuando las cosas están muy bien hechas. Admiro, cuando el propietario del lugar es el que no tiene ningún problema en servirte el agua y el personal entiende perfectamente quién es el líder, por más que el líder parezca a simple vista que está haciendo una tarea menor. Por supuesto que en un buen servicio no hay tareas menores. Felicidades al dueño y a todo su equipo, porque se nota que están entuciamados haciendo de su vocación, un gran proyecto!!! Espero que mi reseña motive a otros clientes que tienen grandes estándares de calidad y que vivan la experiencia, como vivir yo un gran momento. Y para concluir, hay gente que solo se dedica a hacer daño en las redes sociales opinando acerca del precio sin tener en cuenta todo lo que incluye ese precio.
