Enyesque Tapas Bar — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

Lovely surprise. We opted for the nearest Tapas Bar for dinner rather than walking any further. We’d ordered drinks and then got the menu. I was initially disappointed - none of the common tapa, but we decided to go ahead. Needn’t have worried - every unfamiliar dish was a delight, as we’d the service. Highlights: a cold sweet potato dish with flecks of smoked sardine (heaven) and braised ox cheek with mashed potato, as well as the cheese board that arrived first (novel!). La cuisine est très bonne, la qualité est au rendez vous, mais les portions sont très petites vu le prix. À première vue le serveur était chaleureux, mais au final était bien trop à l'aise. Trop tactile, il ma touché l'épaule à plusieurs reprise, nous lui avons demandé 2 fois une bouteille d'eau et il ne nous l'a jamais ramenée. Il a fais des remarques sur les quantités que ma mère a mangé ( nous avions 3 petits tapas à partager pour 2.) Ce qui est complètement inapproprié et insultant. Et il m'a aussi faite une remarque sur le fait que je prenais un dessert. Quand il a su que je venais de France il m'a parlé du trop grand nombre d'africains en France (????). Il m'a aussi un peu trop complimenté sur mon physique, je n'étais plus à l'aise, et quand il déposait les plats il m'a à plusieurs reprise un peu trop effleuré la poitrine. C'est très dommage car la cuisine est délicieuse, cependant le prix est élevé pour les quantités proposées, et le service ne me fera pas revenir. À noter que dans le menu à 18€ ce n'est pas possible pour les végétarien, et qu'il n'y a que 3 tapas végétarien qui eux ne valent pas...

All in all overpriced. The "Fish-Stew" for 17 € was really disappointing, especially bescause it was recommended by the waiter. The little fish in it was dry, the "stew" without any flavour. Although a had the Papas arrugadas (wich where decent), they brought me a big portion of bread for an extra fee, bad upselling. Would not...
