Restaurante Peruano — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

This restaurant is a quite and nice spot in Puerto de la Cruz, en Tenerife. It has tables both inside and outside, and I’d describe it as simple and familiar. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the service is pretty fast, furthermore the spot is clean and well organized. In this Peruvian restaurant you can enjoy the typical dishes of the Peruvian cuisine, that are made with tasty and fresh ingredients: we tried the ceviche as starter, and I’d recommend it for sure! Also all the other plates were amazing, super tasty and with intense flavor. Concerning the prices and considering the overall experience, I’d say that they are correct, in the standards: me and my boyfriend we had 2 starters, 4 mains, 4 different soft drinks and dessert and we spent around 60 euros....

I am a Swiss born half Peruvian. I dont love Peruvian food like other Peruvians. I tried multiple Peruvian restaurants in Switzerland, expensive ones as well. This restaurant on Tenerife is by far better than all of them. The Peruvian traditional dishes like ceviche, are very well done with all the little things that go with it. Fresh and good vegetables and fish is used. Hector the owner, is a very kind person and attends all the tables himself with his daugther, while his brother is in the kitchen. If you visit puerto de la cruz, You should definitfely visit...

I don't understand how this restaurant can be rated 4.1. The sauce for the beef hearts was certainly made from powder and was pretty bad. A lot of the vegetables were clearly canned or frozen. The tiradito was okay though. And the service was good. I'm not sure if they changed chefs recently or what, but this place was a real...
