Our visit to Las Tablas with our family of four adults and a toddler was an absolute delight! The cozy atmosphere and outstanding service perfectly complemented the restaurant’s specialty—the meat board.

Las Tablas may be small in size, but the plates aren’t so small which makes it a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was a memorable setting for our family in Ronda.

The star of the show was undeniably the meat board. The generous selection of succulent meats, expertly curated and beautifully presented, had our taste buds dancing with joy. Each bite was a true carnivore’s dream, with tender cuts of steak and that black salt is amazing . The attention to detail showed us that these guys are commitment to quality.

What truly elevated our experience was the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and willingness to assist with recommendations and answer our questions were commendable. I even bought a hand full of the black salt to go. Overall it was a...

What a wonderful treat!

The chef came outside while I was trying to decifer the outside menu (I don’t speak Spanish yet) and told me what was on it and then held the door for me to come in.

The wait person and he were extraordinarily attentive to everyone. The food was delicious.

For example, I think this may have been my favorite ever serving of mixed vegetables I’ve had in a restaurant.

The steak was exactly as I asked it be cooked. The chimichurri was scrumptious. Perfect mix of each ingredient. And the dessert. Ohmygosh! I got the chocolate coulant and the texture and temp of each part was perfect for the others.

I paid 36€ for all that (including my first ever glass of sherry!) Well worth it.

PS. The man talking to the table is the chef, and the woman is a very attentive wait person. He checked on everyone. She watched everyone to make sure they wanted for nothing and were seated at the best places. That’s a Christmas decoration blocking my view of her at that moment. I didn’t want to lean over and take an...

We really enjoyed the outstanding food and service at Restaurante Las Tablas. On a quiet Thursday evening, we walked by this restaurant on the main stretch in the old section of old town that has fewer businesses around. Its understated exterior is easy to miss. We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly, though reservations are highly recommended as there are about 5-6 small tables. The waitstaff greeted us warmly and were very attentive throughout the meal.

We got fresh seasonal tomatoes with olive oil, vinegar and herbs to start, and the seared duck breast (magret de pato) for our main. Fresh bread was provided as well to dip in the sauces. The tomatoes were so fresh and delicious, the duck breast was tender and flavorful, it was seared on the outside and perfectly cooked inside, drizzled with a red wine reduction. The atmosphere was relaxed. One of the best meals we've...

We lucked out when we walked in without reservations, there were two tables available! The service was friendly and efficient- our intermediate level Spanish was sufficient as the owners(?) spoke English well. The food was outstanding! Our first course was a shared salad with a fried goat cheese pillow and raspberry purée dressing. Had we known a. That we would want to eat the whole salad, or b. That our meat course would be so large, we might not have ordered it. I’m still happy we did. The meat board included blood sausage, chorizo, beef, pork, pimientos and patatas- and we almost ate it all. We enjoyed our evening so much we made reservations on the spot for the next night to try the paella, and we were not disappointed!! In the dead of summer you might get lucky, but otherwise I highly recommend making a reservation.

What a lovely dining experience we had at Restaurante Las Tablas. Our young lady server was so professional, patient and helpful. The food is delicious and the family so engaging, that they made our time in Ronda very special. A completely different experience than most restaurants. Of course, you get out what you put in. We tried to pronounce our order in Spanish (and got impromptu lessons) and we asked about how the sauces were made. They were happy to engage with us. We liked it so much that we went back a second time. Highly, highly recommended to eat here. We had the spinach salad, mixed tapas plate, prawns in boiling garlic butter and the Iberian pork cheeks.
