O Xantar Mediterráneo Restaurant — Restaurant in Salou

i went here for dinner yesterday after seeing the good reviews, walking down the street there were so so so many restaurants trying to get us to come in, not really leaving us alone when we said we had plans; however when we arrived Xantar there was nobody pressuring us to come in, we were allowed time to look at the menu, talk amongst ourselves and come in at our own pace. NO pressure at all. which was such a breath of fresh air

to our surprise it was very relaxed and quiet, which as somebody with sensory difficulties was such a relief, the kind staff quickly took and brought our orders within a really timely manner.

the food , although on the pricier side was absolutely stunning, and the servings are really generous. you definitely get your moneys worth here. i didn’t even have any room for pudding…. but i may be coming back for more before i go...

WOW! WOW! WOW! This place oh my days!!! The food was AMAZING! in 7 nights, we came twice because it was so good. The early deal from 7pm-8:30pm is €25 for 2 courses and at that low price you’d expect alright food, nothing amazing, but this food is to DIE for! It is such a shame that so many tourists are eating from the big chain restaurants, when the quality here is so lovely. The food speaks for itself, everything we tried was absolutely gorgeous. 2 of the best meals we had whilst we were here. It’s quiet, which makes it all the more lovely, the staff are attentive and so so kind, they don’t harass you to come in either which is a huge bonus on the tourist strip. The paella itself was very tasty – we ordered one to share between three people, and the flavors were really enjoyable. However, for me paella is also about the experience. Part of the charm is having the pan placed on the table, sharing directly from it. Here, the pan was only briefly shown to us before the paella was plated somewhere else and served individually. That felt like a missed opportunity and took away from the atmosphere I was hoping for.
