This is a great little restaurant with a very caring head chef/owner. We were eager beavers and were standing outside before they even opened at 8pm. We got a seat without booking (it was a Monday night).
The menu was full of Spanish classics, there was something for everyone.
We had a mix of croquettes to start - my favourite was the suckling pig. We also had the “Timbal” (Potatoes baker’s style, black pudding with caramelised onion and a fried egg on top) which was to die for. Incredible flavours and cooked to perfection.
For our mains, my wife had the suckling pig, which she described as 'genuine, authentic and well-cooked'. I had the Iberian pork cheek confit stuffed with mushrooms with potato parmentiere. I was familiar with the flavours of this dish having tasted it originally in Cadiz, and this didn't disappoint - fall-apart beef with rich potatoes and earthy mushrooms.
